Dr. Francine Martis, MD

Dr. Martis told me multiple times incorrect dosage of prescriptions which caused over doses and then proceeded to deny ever doing it. She invalidated all of my ailments and even refused to talk to me during one of my appointments. I always left her office in tears either questioning my memory or the validity of my condition.

I was hesitant to see her based on prior reviews but other female doctors were not available. She, in my opinion, is inexperienced and doesn't trust the information the patient's are giving her. I just didn't connect with her and felt she was too impersonal. I've had disability placards and plates since 2008 and she refused to sign anything other than a 3 month temporary one pending my spending more money seeing a specialist. I had xrays, MRI's etc. Was not at all knowledgeable of Complimentary Alternative Medicine, which was a priority of mine. She may be OK for some personalities; not ones who know their body and are articulate about it and its needs.

If you want a militant doctor who treats you disrenspectfully and rude then you've got it!!! She has the coldest.bedside manner. Treated me like a child , I'm 55!!!s not a partner with her patients. I

No longer a student, but now a full fledged doctor with perhaps a base of technical knowledge, but poor interpersonal communication skills. She was dismissive of my concerns and acted as a gatekeeper to prevent me form seeing a specialist about my concern. When asked about my preferences for medications, she did the exact opposite for my prescriptions than she told me during the appointment she would do. If you want someone to treat you like a number with impersonal concern, go for Dr. Martis. If you have a brain and expect respect and collaboration for your health care, look elsewhere.
