Dr. Francis Anthony Barra

A rude obnoxious little man who has no clue what it means to be kind and professional. My experience being seen by this dentist was physically painful, and when I repeatedly told him he was hurting me, he simply said oh, ok, and he was outright belligerent when I asked questioned pertaining to the visit. Skip him, I wouldn't waste my time again.

I saw Dr. Barra for many years when I lived in Brooklyn. I was impressed with his credentials, level of skill and professionalism. His fillings have lasted for decades! The office was comfortable and I liked his staff. I expect to wait when I visit a provider, but he got me right in. He accepts a variety of insurances. I highly recommend this dentist.

I am very disappointed. I went to see this doctor at the first time. I filled up the forms on Zocdoc and I got a confirmation that my information was sent to the Dentist office. Of course I got a bunch of papers to fill up again with the same questions. It took me 20 minutes. I waited another 20 minutes when the assistant called me. She asked me to sit down and wait for the Dentist who will be with me “shortly”. I was waiting another 25 minutes and no sign of anybody. I decided to leave. On my way out I stopped at the front desk and I told them that I can not wait no more. I had appointment at 1pm and 2.05pm I didn’t get to see the doctor yet...not even a person who would tell a nice word what’s going on. While I was in the waiting area, a men arrived and sprayed around the patients with a toilet air freshener..... In the exam room everything was dirty. Exam chair, equipment cords,walls , floor corners etc... Furthermore, cops arrived ,because one patient’s grandmother lost in… somewhere in this office... What a day! I DO NOT recommend this place anybody! ( 6209 16th Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11204) Ps: Dr. Barra might be a good doctor, but as I said I did not have a chance to meet with him. In my eyes, not only the doctor have to be professional, but his environment as well!!!
