Dr. Francis Essien, DO

Dr. Francis Essien, DO, FACP, is a board-certified Internal Medicine physician and Fellow of the American College of Physicians. He serves as the lead physician and Medical Director at MD Healthcare Clinic. A U.S. Air Force veteran, Dr. Essien earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Gannon University and completed his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) at Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine. He went on to complete his Internal Medicine residency at Keesler Medical Center, Keesler Air Force Base. Dr. Essien’s extensive clinical expertise spans primary care, hospitalist and intensivist medicine, wound care, palliative care, and transitional care management.
