Dr. Francis Thornton West III, MD

Dr. West is a caring, professional & questioning physician who has his patients whole experience and health care in mind when working with patients on their care. I highly recommend him as a PCP.

Frank West is a breath of fresh air in the world of modern medicine. He reminds me of the doctors that use to make house calls when patients could not get to the office. He has been patient and understanding in the fact that I prefer to not take a lot of medication even though some of the semi annual numbers are borderline in terms of things like cholesterol. I always look forward to spending some time talking to him as he has a genuine sincerity and desire to know his patients to better serve them. His educational background is outstanding and locally based in the state of Virginia. I find him well versed on all medical issues and feel very fortunate to have him as a medical expert and friend!

Dr. West is a very caring and has excellent report with his patients. He has great follow through. He is an outstanding physician and is both my and my husbands doctor.

Dr West is a wonderful family doctor. He is understanding and listens. Prescribes where it it helpful and never pushes pharmaceuticals. It feels like you have a friend who is an MD. I wish I could say more. Love him and his staff.

I suffer from some health anxiety. Dr. West takes my concerns seriously and makes me feel comfortable talking to him. He's a great guy and phenomenal doc.

Not only did the Dr not remember HE was the prescribing Dr for a MED we were discussing (and I was then taking), but his receptionist took it upon HERSELF to interject HER 'professional' opinion and prevent me from talking to the dDr via phone with a question, but she chose to share me private info with at least 2 other (and un-involved people).

If you are looking for a bright attentive young primary care doctor, Frank is the man.

I had asked for a physical and was charged for a 1st time visit. When I asked why i was charged over 200.00 they said i should have told the Dr. that i was there for a physical ( witch i did when he walked in and asked that are you here for today?) So it looks like I will be needed to find a new dr. in my town.

I was looking for a Dr. In Gloucester after leaving mine in Portsmouth. My sister goes to him so I went there. I have been very happy with him. He is a very concerned Dr. and always listens to all your concerns. I know I will receive great care from him.
