i would find a different doctor. in 1998 he performed a routine valve replacement on my mom. she died. she was only 58. there are better choices than mc allen medical center. they hurried her into surgery before she could really make a clear choice of whether she should even have the surgery or not. his qualifications as a doctor have also come into to question. this is all in court documentation.are you board certified yet?

Dr. Bracamontes laid the cards on the table for us. Made it clear that if he were to perform surgery on my mother the risk was very high, she would have a 1 in 3 chance of it being successful. He acknowledged that is the way he makes a living but he would not want to do that at the expense of someones life. He suggested that we just let her be and not to put her through something so hard. He stressed that she was very sick but she was with us and if the surgery was performed she would be with us now and maybe gone tomorrow. Even though this was hard to hear, I really appreciate his honesty and his compassion.
