Dr. Frank Joseph Caliendo, MD

Dr.Frank Calliendo treated the chronic anal fissure which I was suffering for almost 2 years. I was previously misdiagnosed and wrongly treated by another doctor a gastroenterologist from lynbrook.Dr.Calliendo not only a great surgeon but also a great human being.His bedside manner is impeccable.Dr.Calliendo is god’s send.He has a gift of putting patient at ease.He will make you feel like the MVP(most valuable patient) . World needs more doctors like him (I wish we can clone him ??).I am so appreciative of Mount Sinai to have one of the greatest human being as its top colorectal surgeon .God bless you doc .And thank you and all your staff. Note:I recommend anyone looking for any kind of colorectal problems(big or small ) to go and visit him.You will not be disappointed.

Dr. Calidendo has been my son's doctor since he is 5 years old, and even when he was young he explained not only to me as an adult he was great with my son and always made him feel comfortable. He has had many surgeries and Dr. Caliendo has been amazing to him!

i can't express the love and passion dr Caliendo has for his patient. As i write this review tears in my eyes how he cared for me and made sure that I was ok before and after surgery. i want to thank him for my road to better health ahead. all i can say is THANK YOU your award is ahead of you GOD knows and see all that you do for people and you patient. performed two surgeries on my wife in 3 months...He is a man I would trust with my life. And a great human being.

Dr. Caliendo listened to my concerns and was personable and understanding. I did, however, have a very bad experience with his office staff. One of his office staff members is extremely irresponsible, failed to send me critical test results I needed and made my life much more difficult than it needed to be.

I had a sigmoid colon resection done by Dr. Caliendo. I had my surgery less than a month ago and I feel great! He is a great surgeon and I was out of the hospital in just over 3 days. I highly recommend him!

I took my daughter to see Dr. Caliendo for a surgical consult. Both my husband and I, as well as our 15 year old were very impressed with his patience and understanding of our many questions. He was very informative and also did not pressure us into surgery. I have the same disease as my daughter and I am scheduling a surgical consult with Dr. Caliendo for myself. I have seen 2 other surgeons for myself and was not impressed but Dr Caliendo made me feel so comfortable and confident in him.

Dr. Caliendo is very unprofessional. He does not know how to do his job. He keeps misdiagnosing. He's in compassionate, rude and doesn't seem to care how you are really feeling. Rushes out of the room in 5 min. Avoid this man for your own good
