Dr. Frank John Colarusso, DO

Dr. Colarusso is the best but his staff never called in my Tramadol! I heard him tell the woman to call it in but I never got it. I’m in so much pain!

This doctor saw my mother today for her excessive chronic pain issues. He did not let her get a word in edgewise. He barely examined her and just jumped straight to pills and kept cutting her off. Don’t waste your time going to him. No empathy, no real thorough examination.

He came in the room and introduced himself. Asked me what I was there for. He didn’t let me get more than a few words out before he cut me off and sent me for an X-ray. He then did some manipulation and scheduled me for another test. And prescribed me two medications. Never asked me my medical history, never asked what medications I was currently taking. I still wasn’t able to tell him all my symptoms. Then he proceeded to tell me the worst case scenario which he had no basis for even saying what he said. It almost felt like he knew I was nervous and upset about my symptoms and enjoyed trying to scare me. There was no other reason for him to say what he said. As a nurse myself, being around physicians my whole career, it’s just not something you say to a patient. I left feeling more confused and upset than when I came in. I ended up going to another doctor who helped me and who let me explain my symptoms. This guy is dismissive, rude, and quite frankly, not a good doctor at all. I… normally don’t leave reviews but I don’t want anyone to experience what I did.

I have been a patient of Dr. Colarusso’s for the past several years and I am so grateful to have found him. I suffer from horrible migraines and severe back pain. I have been to other doctors and I’ve undergone various medical procedures or been given medication, but I never experienced long-term results. However, whenever I go see Dr. Colarusso and he works on me, I experience pain relief for several months. It is so hard to find a physical medicine and rehab doctor who does hands on body work. I am moving to Florida shortly and I have been searching for a doctor like Dr. Colarusso and they are almost impossible to find. I found a few but they are more than 60 miles away from where I will be living. I am trying to convince Dr. Colarusso to move to Florida so I can continue seeing him, but he is staying in NJ. If you experience pain (especially chronic pain), then you should definitely go see Dr. Colarusso. He is the best!

I am very impressed with Dr. Colarusso and my experience at Mercer-Bucks Orthopedics. I am always treated with respect and care by the staff. Dr. Colarusso takes the time to listen to me, he truly cares about his patients. He is knowledgeable, though, and professional. I am grateful for all that he has done and continues doing to restoring my physical rehabilitation.

visited the doctor today, I was trying to tell him why my back feel pain and when it started. he does not listen and he has no interest to hear of those. he just asked me sit and lay down, and stretch me from back couples of time. then that's it and it's done. I tried to ask him why I feel pain. he told me:"I don't know". he left the room after 3 minutes and 1 minute later, I heard he say hi to another patient in the next room. feel very sad for myself to find such a worst and not professional "doctor". so, be away from him. and his college and eduction background was very poor and that might be one of reason he looks like a patient hater.

Excellent dr! I had the best experience with him. In one visit I feel a thousand times better. He is very friendly and listens to what you have to say. I have been in pain in my neck and shoulder for years and in one visit I feel so much better without any pain medication. I highly recommend him. Can't say enough of great things about him!

My Primary Dr. Put me out of work on temporary disability because of My Back. I was involved in 4 car accidents over a 9 year. Due to The heavy work load my flare up was so bad I couldn't even walks for long periods of time. Bad spasms in my neck and back That radiates down my right arm and shoulders. extreme lower back pain to were I limp when I work. I seen Dr C on 4 different occasions. I went to him on my last visit. I took my disability form to him to fill it out. Since my primary knew I found a specialist for my back . I was told he would have to be The one to extend my Temporary disability . I explained This to him. He told me He would not call in my benefits for an extension. He said he only does That if you had surgery. He then began to tell me I can go back to work full-time. lol He Then insults me by saying your 47 and laughs come on! I told him so 47 year olds don't have disabilities. I told him The job is The reason I am out of work now. I also told him all i do is pay… co pay after co pay and I am still in bad pain. I wanted to send me for a test That i already had done. He just didn't receive my results from The Mri. But he says I'm ready to return to work. I was so frustrated with him. He really don't listen to a world you say. He thin told The nurse to put me out for two more weeks but still refused to extend My Diability. I'm sitting here now in such bad pain. The same pain I have had since day one! I also tried to explain to him he wants me to do physical therapy, receive injections and continue to follow up. I agree but those things cost money. long story short. As of yesterday I quit my job. I have 0 income now! I just can't do my job anymore. I showed him my job discription that said I must be able to lift 50 pounds. I must be able to stoop,stand,sit, read,and do other things. I can't even go to a mall and walk 5 minutes before I have to sit down. My job bluntly told me They have no light duty. I will never see him again!

This man is had 0 bed side manner. This man is cold and careless. My mother is seeing him for sacro iliac joint issues and degenerative joint disease in her L5. She has been limping around with severe pain and has seen him three times now. My mother is on Coumadin and he never remembers that. He was going to go ahead and give her an injection without remembering that being on Coumadin thins blood and puts her at risk of bleeding and developing a hematoma if her INR level is elevated. He is dismissive and patronizing. After a month and a half with no positive results we are now looking into other doctors. As a orthopedic nurse I am knowledgeable about the conditions and treatments and feel as though he is only interested in collecting a co-pay. I wouldn’t take my dog to this man.

I've had recurring pain in my right hip, leg, and lower back for the past several years. I've tried physical therapy and sought the advice of a doctor from another practice who referred me to a surgeon. Needless to say, I wasn't satisfied and wanted to seek the advice from another doctor, but I didn't know where to turn. A co-worker told me about her experience with Dr. Colarusso at MBO so I thought that I would give it a try. I'm so happy with the expert, compassionate care that I've received from Dr. Colarusso and his staff. He took the time to really listen to me and perform thorough exams and assessments. After receiving one injection and two adjustments, I feel better than I have in a a very long time! I honestly feel that I've finally found a place where I'll receive expert care, so I won't have to search for another doctor or practice. I'm virtually pain free thanks to Dr. Colarusso!
