Dr. Frank Cotter, MD

Dr. Cotter saved what was left of my mother's eyesight after Piedmont Eye washed their hands of her. I had also been diagnosed with glaucoma and was going to Piedmont when things changed there. Instead of "having" to go every four months (which I had agreed to) appointments were spread to 6 to 8 months. I had a visual field test which they "could not read" that day but would let me know. I never found out. So, on my net visit with my mother to Dr. Cotter, I asked him if he would see me. he agreed. I get a visual field every time I go and every other time a picture of my optic nerve. Dr. Cotter answers any questions I have and addresses my concerns. My sister has also developed glaucoma and has had a retinal bleed, but opted for Piedmont. she says her laser surgery hurts. My experience is I am not fond of the light but other than dryness and a slight sensitivity to light, I have had no problems. I am more than pleased. Oh, may I add I drive 100 miles one way to go to his office and it… is worth every mile!!!
