Dr. Frank Daniel Devries, MD

As a young woman of color, Dr. DeVries' bedside manner was not sensitive nor culturally competent in the intake process. I went to Dr. DeVries' ob-gyn practice concerned that I may have a chronic vulvar pain condition. I felt that my health concerns were minimized. He spoke mockingly, paying the most attention to the specific time duration I had been with a partner, never asking if I had a history of trauma or had been sexually assaulted. He did not disclose the specifics of the pelvic exam he just said he will "look at my bottom." He began by touching the sides of my breasts without consecutive abdominal palpation. His lack of explaining procedures made me feel that it was inappropriate conduct. During the pelvic exam, he was not gentle and did not explain what he was doing or even warn me before inserting the speculum. Dr. DeVries' narrow assumptions did not allow for comprehensive ob-gyn care. I do not recommend this doctor, especially if you identify with my demographic.

I had several visits with Dr. DeVries and can say that he is, by far, the worst doctor I have ever seen! I went to him with excruciating pain and various other issues that were getting progressively worse. He dismissed my concerns and told me they would get better if only I lost some weight. After months of seeing him on a weekly basis with pain that was getting worse, I finally went elsewhere. I was diagnosed by the next doctor with fibroids and adenomyosis, which explained every single symptom I had gone to Dr. DeVries with. If only he had actually listened, I could have had relief months earlier! This is a doctor that will judge you based on your weight and your age... if you don't fit his criteria, he won't give you the time of day. I would avoid him at all costs... save yourself time and go elsewhere!

This is the best Doctor he is the most caring Doctor. Great bedside mannerIf it wasn't for him I wouldnt have my kids I luv this man.He is the BEST...

This is a great obgyn. He is so nice and listens. I have been trying to get pregnant for 5 1/2 years. MY first obgyn said nothing was wrong I went to him and he did test and found out what was wrong. Started me on medication. And 2 weeks later I was pregnant. I love this doctor and would say go see him. He will listen to you.

I always refer my pregnant friends to him. He is a great doctor and Pam, his nurse, is the best! He's a keeper!

Dr. Devries has been by Doctor for about 16yrs. and has delivered 3 of my children. He has been an outstanding Doctor.
