Dr. Frank Scot Elliott, MD

I have been a patient for six years. Dr Elliott is excellent, caring and knowledgeable. He treats me with respect and is an excellent problem solver. He is, by far, the best psychiatrist I have ever worked with.

He really cares about his patients and wants to give his patients the best care he can. He explains why he thinks his plan will work for the patient and the reasons. At the end of every session he advises you of the plan that was agreed upon and asks if you are in agreement with that plan.

This guy did not communicate well with me at all. I've been with him a few years due to him being in the military like my entire family(WWII-Nam 101st, 82nd and 75th). He's very impersonable and quiet frankly rude. I'm paying for a 15 min session yet I'm out within a few minutes every time. You have to tell him the issues you're having and when you do, he does not respond with advice. He does not respond at all. If you have anxiety and have issues speaking up, communicating, he will not asks you questions to help bring out your issues. He will say basically nothing. It's like having a robot in front of you. His demeaner makes it very hard for one to communicate with. If you need a doctor that actually cares, please keep searching. Your mental health is at stake, choose wisely.

Dr. Elliott was a recommendation from my nurse practitioner and it was a great recommendation. Immediately Dr. Elliott uncovered a potential cause of additional anxiety by the combination of medications I had previously been prescribed. I couldn’t be more thankful. I am coming up on my one year follow up and I am looking forward to it.

Dr. Frank Elliot takes the time to hear you out on the first initial assessment. He provides his insight and support. Follow up appointments are basically check-ins if no other services are required. joe

I've been seeing Dr. Elliott for about a year now, and he's been incredibly helpful. He always makes me feel welcome and I'm never nervous to go see him. As someone with social anxiety, I'm glad to have found someone like him. I feel better than I ever have because of his help.

I chose Dr. Elliott because of his military background and experience in working with military vets with anxiety, depression, and coping with stress. Highly knowledgeable and up to date on current medications and treatments plans he has a clinical bedside manner that can be perceived as cold. That said, he answers all questions honestly and there is no opportunity for misinterpretation. I highly recommend Dr. Elliott if you are concerned about medicating/medications.

When looking for a Psychiatrist, it was very hard finding one that is not about just sitting there listening to your issues. I’m very pleased that Dr. Elliott was very efficient at my very first appointment with him. Normally, I’m the one blurting out my problems. He went straight to the point asking great questions about why I’m in his office. Once all of the questions were answered he gave me his suggestions and it wasn’t like he was just brushing me off. Dr. Elliott is knowledgable and easy to work with. He understands the physical as well as the mental issues of patients. I was impressed that he was on time, straight forward and never made me feel that he was pushing pills or services beyond what my situation merited. He is a rare find.
