If your kids fear the dentist, have anxiety or special needs stay far far far away from this pediatric dentist!!! My son, like many other young children, has a fear of going to the dentist. During his oral exam my son started to cry and turn his face away from the dentist in fear of what was going to happen... Dr. Frank Kendrick offered zero comfort and instead had the audacity to say that he was acting defiant and disobedient. He even told me there was no sense in bringing him back for any oral procedures like a filling given the attitude my son was presenting. He also told me to not speak when asking my son why he was scared... He never let me explain that he has a oral sensory disorder and becomes anxious when anything is related to his mouth. Instead he ignored me and kept questioning my son why he would not talk. Again repeatly asking why he was acting disobediant. I have never encountered such a disrespectful medical provider. As a medical provider myself I am in awe of his… bedside manner and demeanor. My son is often praised by many for his respectful and loving attitude. Children can sense when someone is loving or not... Unfortunately for Dr. Frank he is ignorant in the topic of dental anxiety!

My son's experience was horrible. He went in for a cavity on a baby molar that we were told needed a pulpotomy and steel crown. During the procedure, Dr. Frank gave very little patience and concern for my son's pain management and even called my son "disrespectful" when he exhibited signs of severe pain. My son was screaming and shaking and Dr. Frank ignored this and didn't ever try to comfort him or pause the procedure to reassure him. Thanks god I didn't sit in the waiting like I was asked to do or I wouldn't have known the horrible experience my son experienced. We were lied to by the assistant who assured us that there would be no pain. Another assistant attempted to hold my son's wrist at his sides and when I objected, Dr. Frank told her to let go of his arms. Thank god that the cavity turned out not to be near the nerve so he didn't need the pulpotomy. The steel crown was forced up into the gum line causing my son more severe pain. Overall our experience left my son shaking and… traumatized. We will never return.
