Dr. Frank Lattarulo, DPM

I recently had a highly disappointing experience with Dr. Lattarulo and feel compelled to share my ordeal. From the outset, it was clear that his bedside manners were severely lacking. He was dismissive and unapproachable, making it difficult to discuss my concerns. Despite my repeated attempts to explain the discomfort caused by the orthotics he prescribed, Dr. Lattarulo seemed uninterested and dismissive of my feedback. The orthotics he provided caused significant back pain, which necessitated additional treatment from a chiropractor. When I returned the orthotics, hoping for an adjustment or a new pair, Dr. Lattarulo bluntly told me that I didn't know anything about orthotics and implied that my discomfort was irrelevant. On my subsequent visit, I hoped for a more attentive approach, but to my dismay, Dr. Lattarulo instructed his staff to simply hand over the orthotics without checking the fit or observing my gait. This neglect and lack of professionalism were alarming and… unacceptable. I strongly advise against seeing this doctor if you value a doctor who listens, shows empathy, and provides thorough and considerate care. My experience has been nothing short of frustrating and painful. Save yourself the trouble and seek out a podiatrist who truly cares about their patients' well-being.

Terrible experience. Dr. Lattarulo fixated on doing a biopsy of two toenails, for which the hospital will get a higher fee from Medicare, and was so engaged in defending the hospital's adminstration that he would not listen to a request for clipping the other eight nails and stormed out! Though I have received excellent care from other doctors affiliated with Northwell's Phelps Hospital, this made me wonder whether i should change systems entirely!
