Dr. Frank Anthony Meglio, MD

I was a medical student under the tutelage of Dr. Meglio many years ago. Over the 6 weeks of my psychiatry rotation, I saw Dr. Meglio demonstrate many discrepant behaviors in his manner of practice. He would often be dismissive of patients' problems, describe them as "subhuman" when teaching us about pathology and psychiatric conditions, and showed very little compassion or empathy for people with mental heath issues. While he remained professional with patients and I found him rather "two-faced" when we later debriefed cases and talked about treatment plans-- speaking of patients as if they were hopeless individuals with no chance of improving. I am surprised that he remains in practice after this many years and it is my sincere hope that he has improved his attitude towards caring for others.
