Dr. Frank Pelosi JR., MD

Dr Pelosi is amazing, and his staff is super efficient, helpful and friendly. In my interactions with Dr. Pelosi he was always interested in my "quality of life." He solved my problem, and I am extremely grateful.

Dr. Pelosi was not only rude to me but I've never been the same physically since my ablation. I went in for ablation therapy and woke up out of general anesthesia almost 9 hours later with no explanation. Every time I asked a nurse what happened, I was told that the doctor would explain it to me. Dr. Pelosi walked into my room, told me to go off my meds, said I'm cured and walked out before I could utter one word. Five years later, I still don't know what went on for sure but U of M has not honored one request for my records and I'm still on my meds. I have never felt worse and wish to God I had never had the ablation in the first place. One of the nurses at my current doctors office told me that all of these records are kept in a database now. She offered to look mine up. The outside of the file had my name and some other info including the type of surgery. I had been given both an ablation AND surgery for Afib. I was never told about this after my surgery by anyone. And the FILE WAS… EMPTY??? I'm experiencing symptoms now that I never had prior to the surgery and I'm working with a new cardiologist who also cannot seem to get ahold of my records from U of M. It is to late to sue but I'm considering filing a complain with the AMA.

I completely agree with what the previous poster "heart broken" stated. I have had cardiac issues for 15 years now and have seen more than my fair share of specialists. I have never felt more disrespected and unimportant to a doctor in my entire life. And when I expressed my feelings/concerns stating how I felt and my disdain for how my life threatening case was being handled he had nothing to say. I literally mean he had no plausible reasons for any of his treatment (or lack there of) options. I have now found another electrophysiologist that is focused on saving my life and is not treating me like just another patient he is forced to deal with. Please, if you value your well being, see someone else!

Dr. Pelosi has performed 3 cardiac ablations on me and I have one more area that he wants to 'fine tune', he is a perfectionist. He is a very caring physician altho he may not seem like that initially. He is so intelligent that I think some patients may not understand him and get the wrong impression. I completely trust Dr. Pelosi and I highly recommend him.

I am BAFFLED by the high overall rating of this physician. I have never felt so humiliated and unimportant to a physician in my life. He walked into each out patient follow-up visit without my chart and when I was in the hospital he treated my family horribly. Whenever they had a question he was very obviously irritated. In addition, I have heard from other physicians at the U of M that many patients don't care for him. If I could give zero stars as a rating I would. There are amazing cardiologists at the U of M but Pelosi is not on my list.
