Outstanding Surgeon. Replaced right shoulder and recovery was essentially pain free. Treats patients with respect and consideration. BTY, this was my 5th orthopedic surgery for arthritis, all in different places, so I speak with experience.

Absolutely excellent in every way. I had waited for years. I heard the process and recovery would be very painful, long and awful. The actual results were terrific. The hospital and surgery went very well. The over-night at Keck was simple and totally withut pressure. The nurses were excellent, Dr. Petrigliano and Dr. Paco superb. Subsequently, PT at home for 4 weeks. Dr. Petrigliano let me out of the sling yesterday. I'm doing almost everything, being careful with certain motions. Just reaching for a parking ticket going into a lot used to be so painful. Today nothing to it. The whole experience has been excellent. Dr.P is very easy to talk to and he spends time to make me feel good and educated. I'm thrilled that I did it. The pain level is nearly 0. Thank you Dr. P and the team at Keck.

Make sure you get everything he says he writing and signed by him before you leave your initial appointment because when you follow up with him he will act like you’re wasting his time when you’re simply doing what he told you to do in the first place. When you correct him he gets defensive and can’t seem to accept he was wrong. Im assuming the Doctor didn’t even look at my patient chart before he berated me as He claimed I kept “coming back to see him when nothing can be done” even though I’d only seen him a total of two times. The second being because he told me to come back if my pain didn’t go away. If he didn’t want me to come back he shouldn’t have said to do so.

Having interacted with more surgeons than I care to admit over 65+ years of age, I have to readily state that Dr. Petrigliano is the finest I have encountered. He shows a remarkable skill in developing patient trust, and confidence, and his reputation convinces you that there is no one finer in his specialty/sub-specialty. It was deeply appreciated that he telephoned personally to check on my progress post-surgery and for a busy practitioner it impressed me tremendously.

Simply put, my experience with Dr. Petrigliano and UCLA Orthopaedic was outstanding. I felt cared for from the moment I checked in. As instructed, I arrived 30 minutes prior to my appointment for paperwork and x-rays. I was checked in immediately, given a buzzer and waited all of about 5 minutes before radiology was ready for me. When I went to radiology (conveniently across the hall) I sat for about 2 minutes before the radiologist came to take me back. A few x-rays later, I was done and back in the main waiting room. Again I waited maybe 5 minutes, and to my pleasant surprise, I was brought back to an exam room around the actual time of my appointment. Once in the exam room, a nurse went over the basics of my condition. Just a few minutes later, an intern was in and did a full exam. I am a big proponent of teaching hospitals so I was quite happy to have this initial exam. Once she was done and left, I waited only about 5 minutes for Dr. Petrigliano. He did his own full exam, talked… to me about my condition, listened intently to me describe my symptoms, and went over my x-rays with me. He then gave me my diagnosis, some instructions, and a prescription for PT. Dr. Petrigliano is an outstanding orthopedic surgeon who specializes in shoulders, so for him not to recommend surgery gave me all the more confidence in his diagnosis and prognosis. I was out of the office about an hour after I arrived—because of the overall efficiency of the whole operation. And through it all, every person I dealt with was kind, attentive, and seemed genuinely happy to be there. These things unfortunately can’t be taken for granted in today’s medical system, but they seem to be part of the culture at this office. I highly recommend Dr. Petrigliano to anyone who needs an orthopedic specialist.

Dr. P. is a very kind individual and talented surgeon. He gave me his cell phone number and was always easy to get in touch with. My surgery went very well, and the recovery was uneventful. I'm back to playing tennis 3x a week!

Dr P has not enough experience with QSS and should not be diagnosing a condition he has not seen since school. Three doctors have diagnosed me with QSS and my symptoms fit the syndrome. If I had known Dr P had no experience with QSS I would not have gone to UCLA, very disappointed waste of my time

Dr. Petrigliano has been treating my knee pain for the past year. I find him to be an incredibly smart and effective doctor for getting me back to activities, carefully. He's relatively conservative with my treatment and sticks to regimens that are scientifically proven, this also keeps my costs down. He's one of the best around.
