Dr. Frank John Pinto JR., MD

Very callous and cold. Find a different dermatologist if you can CDG is not friendly. When Dr. Pinto entered the room, I was not greeted warmly. He walked in and said, "I'm Dr. Pinto. What do you want to have done?" I found this odd for someone who would be trusted with cutting my face. I also found it strange that he would ask me this when I overheard the conversation through the door about why I was there and what I wanted to have done. After briefly looking at my face, he had me sit on the examining table and said: "This is cosmetic, and you will have to pay out of pocket." I again explained how I spoke to my Insurance, PCP, and the front officer. Neither Dr. Pinto nor his assistant said anything. They stared at me until I felt so uncomfortable that I walked to the front office to talk to the manager.

Dr. Pinto is highly skilled and professional. He is also very kind, and he put me at ease. The rest of the staff is nice and friendly as well. I live in another town, but it's well worth the long drive. Thank you for your excellent care!

Very superficial, rushed interaction with patient! He just comes in talks to you and checks you, all in 2-3 minutes, and leaves the room ! I had no time to talk to him about other concerns I had. he was gone! And, his clinic in Stamford is run down, looks like one in a third world country! I have seen many dermatologists in my life- this was the worst experience. Sorry to be honest.

I'm not sure what some of the reviews im reading are about, but i had a totally different experience with Dr. Pinto. I have had two exams and on both occasions suspicious spots wer found. Both biopsies proved positive and procedures were completed in the office to permanently remove the cancers. I found his exams to be complete, his knowledge outstanding and his staff helpful and friendly. Any questions i asked were answered completely and i found him easy to communicate with. Dr. Pinto has extensive and broad experience and i feel confident with his services.

Middle aged patient with family history of skin cancer(melanoma). Seaking full body exam with specific areas of concern. He spent less than a minute with cursory exam of my posterior side while standing above me. Then briefly addressed the specific areas on my anterior side. Never lifted arms or spread legs to examine those areas. Never examined hands or feet, never examined mid chest area. I have gotten dozens of full body exams over the years by no less than 4 dermatologists. None were ever this rushed/careless as this one. My guess is that he is more concerned with performing cosmetic dermatology than preventive care services. I will follow up with my previous dermatologist to redo this exam when I'm in Florida this winter.

Dr. Pinto solved my problem (rosacea) that no one else could.

I used Dr. Pinto on several occasions for laser treatment of some spots on my face. He's certainly not known for his charm. The first time went well, even the second. On the third visit, he burned and permanently scared an area of my face. I'd stay away! he's out of his league!

I never left reviews on doctors, but I had to spend the time on this one. This is to avoid new patients to waste their money and time on someone like Dr. Pinto. I waited for over 1 month for the appointment. I had 5 different conditions to discuss with him and he dedicated little to no time at all! He diagnosed me with psoriasis and spent no time explaining what it is, the causes, symptoms...nothing. He was clearly in a hurry. He was insisting that the removal of an angioma was considered a cosmetic procedure even after I told him that it had to be removed because it bothered me and I was bleeding from it. PLEASE DO NOT GIVE THIS DOCTOR YOUR MONEY OR TIME. You will have a terrible experience!
