Dr. Frank Efrain Reyes, MD

Always a one sided conversation. The patient is never correct. Does not communicate with other doctors to make sure his prescribed medications do not interfere with existing conditions or medications, (in my case epilepsy, causing seizures)

Dr Reyes is an incompetent, negligent doctor who who asks few questions related to my issues in order to prescribe medication and cannot answer even more. I seemed to have more knowledge of my symptoms, side effects, and diagnosis from a simple google search. He knows even less about psychiatric issues or concerns related to women and refused to even have a conversation about it. He ignored many of my messages for days through kp.org when I was in crisis and needed a med change. He prescribed medication that clearly stated in my medical records that it was not an option because it has destabilized me in the past. I have been stuck in his care until further notice because there has been a hold on all psychiatrists in the greater sacramento area due to shortage of staff. I am on Medicare, have little extra money, but I am currently pulling every last dollar together to find a private psychiatrist before I destabilize, as Dr Reyes decided to taper me off 3 out of 4 of my meds without any… replacements. He has No Idea what he is doing and I urge anyone, and especially women, who are choosing a psychiatrist or have been unfortunately assigned to him- to get far far away from this one. If I could sue him, I would, but unfortunately I would most likely be dismissed due to the stigma associated with mental illness. I also cannot afford to spend the time to do it.. as I am in desperate need of a competent, patient, educated, and appropriate dr who will take the time to listen to my concerns and treat me with my best interests in mind.
