Dr. Frank Gerard Russo-Alesi, MD

He refused to listen to me at all about the original injury, ER visit, subsequent ortho visit, MRI. Anything to do with MY body. And from speaking with him it was clear that he never looked at my x-ray (actually said he “couldn’t” find them) or MRI. But was super quick to dismiss what my orthopedic doctor’s office had already told me. I felt as if I was being treating like and spoken to like a child.

He was so quick and thorough during the first visit. Surgery went great. His nurses are fantastic! Highly recommend nn

Long story short, I very reluctantly went to him again b/c after seeing 3 other podiatrists none could diagnosis my foot pain nor would they remove my fungus infected toe nails. I went to Russo-Alesi. He agreed to remove all of my nails in one session (what I wanted) but quickly dismissed my on going foot pain as neuropathy because I’m diabetic. I said other doctors thought it was a neuroma. He said “oh, well let me check again. Yeah. Yeah it is a neuroma. I can remove that too when I remove the nails.” It was like I had to tell him what was wrong and talk him into it. He did remove the neuroma (a large one) BUT that toe is now dead. I have no feeling in it and there’s a place on the bottom of my foot that when touched shoots an electrical SHOCK up to my toe. It’s a horrible feeling. And EVERY nail grew back....infected. I also developed 9 infections after the surgeries. NINE! I was extremely careful and clean so it wasn’t my doing. Whenever I called about the redness, pus, swelling,… etc. his MA simply made the decision (never even discussed my situation with Russo-Alesi) to just call in another round of antibiotics. Being a diabetic, infections aren’t a joke and should’ve been taken seriously. It was pathetic and unethical and careless.

TOOK THE TIME TO EXPLAIN EVERYTHING TO ME.DIDN'T RUSH THROUGH THE APPOINTMENT. VERY CARING. GOOD BEDSIDE MANNER.

Excellent surgeon! I was referred to him back in 1999. He has done 2 tendon repairs with re-constructions, big toe fusion, and bunion surgery over the years always with great results! He and his staff were always very nice, compassionate, and concerned.i have no foot pain now. I definitely would not be walking, working, and doing what I need to do if not for this surgeon’s expertise.

Dr. Russo Alesi has put shots in my knees many times. I think he is awesome. He has never hurt me doing it. He always takes the time needed and answers any questions I have. I realize he is very busy, but he has never rushed me out.

Switched to Dr Russo-Alesi after another orthopedist failed to treat a sprained and broken ankle, it was failing to heal. At first, I was not sure, but he followed through and did find the problem. While I cannot say I enjoyed the recovery, he has greatly improved my ankle, including straightening out a bad gait problem I was developing. He has been Very thorough in his follow-up. While I have to ASK, he has also spent a great deal of time explaining things to me. Still in recovery, but his instructions have been right on the money, and I at least have hope that I may fully recover.

Did not seem concerned about the issues I an having, I agree with the other reviewer arrogant attitude. Complete waste of my time and money seeing this doctor.

Terrible. Arrogant, conceited, very flirty, and RUSHES through surgery--that is a FACT. Had a RN tell in recovery she'd never let him operate on her. He has a bad reputation for rushing and getting the patients in and out. I asked other people that I know had bunion surgery if their foot looked as bad as mine. And nobody said that their foot looked like Mine did after surgery. My entire foot top to bottom was completely black and blue. It look like he took a sledgehammer to my foot.

Performed surgery on my foot and I had a great recovery. The entire experience w/ doctor and his staff. I received excellent care.
