The only reason I even give the one star is because it is required to continue to the comment section. Beyond the bed side manner, which I come to understand is different wirh everyone, the lack of empathy, and skill we witnessed in our time as a patient of this physician is unacceptable. He claimed to be knowledgeable and well prepared for the procedure our child needed. However, when out of the recovery room, we knew immediately the eye stitching was not reasonable for a 10 year olds eye. We returned to the Dr Ryburn who shrugged us off rudely and basically left us feeling that a 10 year old wirh Down Syndrome will not care about a scar on his face. Guess what! He cares! 2 years later dropping, scarring and discomfort are what he is dealing with. Luckily, after several trips to Dallas and at the hands of a very capable team, He is getting his eye healthy again. Trust me when I say, we expect complications or side effects when undergoing any surgery. But the lack of concern or… empathy for how this turned out is unacceptable.
