Intelligent,kind compassionate-trying to find where he practices-he is the very best pulmonologist

My husband was treated by Dr. Sorhage for lung cancer and COPD. I'll be the first to say that if you looked up the term "laid back," you'd probably see his photo. Never let his nonchalant demeanor lead you to think he's not listening or he doesn't care. He's a very skilled pulmonologist. I'd highly recommend him.

I came to the office after visits to other doctors failed. I was able to get seen fairly quickly, and after receiving a couple of prescriptions felt better almost immediately. The doctor took his time, knew what he was doing, certainly knows his practice, and I have no reservations recommending.

Dr. Sorhage might be a good doctor, but his bedside manner is underwhelming. He does not appreciate being asked questions. His demeanor is unpleasant.

Dr Sorhage treated me in his office and ICU and saw me 4 times in hospital. The patient comes first he is an excellent dr and listens carefully plus orders necessary test. I really appreciate more than you can know how well he took care of me.A++++

Take his time with the patients to listen their complain and always asked if their is more question, very polite and care about your health Best doctor.

5 years ago I had a lung resection elsewhere due to a bacterial infection. For several years I was followed, things were stable. Two years ago I had a routine chest x-ray wihc revealed hyperinflated lungs. This is when I first met Dr. Sorhage. He assured me that that was common and made a sarcastic remark about the amount of CAT scans I had, as I had brought my entire medical records with me. He never looked at them, never looked at the chest x-ray and sent me home. Two years later I again had a chest x-ray which still showed hyperinflated lungs. I spoke to Dr. Sorhage, he thought a followup CAT scan was finally in order and put a request thru my insurance company. It was denied....when I discussed it with him I told him I thought it was because he did not follow the protocol of a chest x-ray prior to the CAT scan. He told me he did not have time to follow up on every denied X-ray and blamed it on Obama Care!!! I really was not interested in his political views, I was… concerned about why this was happening to me. I asked him point blank why were my lungs coming up hypeinflated on x-rays and he responded, "I guess that's just the way it is" Huh...really. Needless to say, I went to another Dr. who did order the CAT scan successfully because he apparently was interested, not like Dr. Sorhage who was more interested in complaining about politics. I think he is on burnout and doesn't care anymore...he essentially told me to take some nasal spray, NSAIDS and maybe in a few months a chest x-ray...otherwise "Take two pills and DON"T call me in the morning.

Brilliant doctor...excellent care...would defintely recommend to anyone requiring a pulmonary doctor
