Dr. Frank J Vascimini, DDS

Dr. Frank J. Vascimini has been practicing dentistry in Homosassa, Fl. since April, 1989. He moved here in 1988 from his birthplace of Brooklyn, New York. Dr. Vascimini attended Manhattan College in the Bronx for his undergraduate studies, then graduated from New York University's College of Dentistry in 1987. He then completed a one-year general practice residency at University Hospital in Staten Island, N.Y. In September, 1994 he received the Fellowship award from the Academy of General Dentistry for successfully passing an exam and completing more than 600 hours of continuing education. In addition, diplomate status has also been bestowed upon Dr. Vascimini by the International Congress of Oral Implantology. He has most recently received mastership status from the American Academy of Implant Prosthodontists. He has coauthored two articles for the prestigious dental periodical, "Implant Society", and is a graduate of the Misch Implant Institute. He remains committed to continuing …education classes, including extensive training in cosmetic and restorative dentistry and in dental implants.
Rita has been with Masterpiece Dental Studio since its inception, first as the office manager and then as a dental hygienist, a position she now holds part time. She graduated from New York City Technical College with an Associates degree in Dental Hygiene before moving to Citrus County in 1988. She has been married to Dr. Vascimini since 1987 and together they have two sons, Frankie and Anthony. When not at Masterpiece Dental Studio, Rita spends her time baking and volunteering at their sons' school. Rita and her family are members of St. Scholastica Catholic Church in Lecanto. She stays busy with family activities, especially the children's sporting events. Rita enjoys being a part of the Masterpiece team.
Lisa is Dr. Vascimini's office manager and has been with Masterpiece Dental Studio since 1993. She was born in Newark, New Jersey and lived in El Paso, Texas before moving to Citrus County. Lisa moved to Homosassa in 1993 with her husband Allen and their children, Michelle and Jimmy. Lisa is a member of the American Association of Dental Office Managers and the Manatee Chapter of the Citrus County Businesswoman Association. Lisa enjoys spending time with her family, they own a family business and are loyal Miami Dolphin Fans, as well as animal lovers. Lisa is also an active member of St. Scholastica Roman Catholic Church. Lisa has a love for dentistry and is excited about every aspect of making the dental office a place that patients, as well as the staff, enjoy coming to.
Sheryl is Dr. Vascimini's dental assistant. When her father retired in 1979 they moved to Citrus County. She is a 1982 graduate of Citrus High School. She was born in Staten Island, New York and raised in Missouri on a twenty-five acre farm. Since her 1984 graduation from dental assisting school, she has been utilizing her technical skills acquired in the dental field. Together with her husband Lonnie, and son Shawn they attend the 1st Assembly of God Church in Inverness, and they enjoy their free time with friends and camping. Sheryl volunteers with the Young Marines Program, where her son Shawn is actively involved. In 2006 Sheryl's son Shawn was named Young Marine of the Year for the 3rd division.
