Dr. Franklin Hayward II, DO

Franklin Hayward II does not know how to read MRIs or other images, and reading medical records is beneath him. He obviously interprets images and records to fit his narative or claims to have looked at them but really didn't. I had several procedures on my spine while serving in the military and was assigned to a WTU in Germany to recover from spine injuries and this goofy person said he found no evidence of any procedures on my spine. I have extensive records showing all the spine procedures and all the images including the recent acdf surgery I had. I was sent to him by the VA (not my choice) to follow-up on complications from acdf SURGERY done (by a local surgeon) and other spine issues for conservative treatment and to see what options are available. Other neurosurgeons actually looked at my images and all told me I had 7 herniated and bulging discs, nerver compression and spsondilosys with degenerative disc disease and bone spurs up and down my spine. They all told me that the… damage to my thoracic spine is affecting my lungs and possibly my heart. They told me what procedures they can do, but those procedures do not have very good outcomes, most are fusions and a spine stimulator and would require pain management which I do not want. At this 3 minute appointment with Hayward I barely got to speak, he just wanted to tell me his time is too valuable for my concerns about my spine. This goofy person told me "I don't do conservative, I put rods and pins in people." (That statement says a lot about what he thinks of people; it's not about what is good for the patient it's about which procedure will get him the most money). Advent Health, shame on you for allowing this. He claims he spent 20 minutes on my consultation but I have a picture of when he came in the room and a picture of when I walked out because he was wasting my time with his nonsence babel (I take pics of arrival and departure at all my appointments) and it shows he talked "at me" for 3 minutes then I got up and left because he is so outragreous. Then I read the after care summary and he wrote that I have a normal gait and my limbs have no issues, he also wrote that he examined me and answered all my questions...all of that is a lie. I wear a back brace under my shirt, I had a sleeve on both knees due to surgery and acl injury (I need bilateral knee replacement but I am trying to avoid it) and he had the nerve to write nonsense in my record. There is no way he read my medical records or looked at the images because if he did than he is falsifying medical records. Shameful. Google him.

My office visit with Dr. Hayward in January. My PCP sent me to him after dislocating my c-spine. He did EVERYTHING correctly - including sending me back down the ER for an MRI to evaluate occipital cervical instability. He was thorough and LISTENED to me. I had researched him and he had the cranio-basilar knowledge that I was desperately seeking. His staff was super supportive and even arranged wheelchair transport since I could barely stand. I would recommend him to anyone wanting a fair shot at genuine, good old fashioned workups. He got it right.

I am healing so well from my surgery. I sometimes forget I had it. I want to thank Dr Hayward an hs staff for the excellent care and treatment. I recently recommended him to a friend with neck issues.

I was paralyzed with pain. We tried all we could to prevent surgery but my pain was just too bad. I appreciate him for not wanting to cut me open but it worked.

dr hayward is very thorough and excellent service. office staff is very thorough as well and very informed. im very pleased with the surgery and service.

Thrilled with surgery results! Dr. Hayward and staff were excellent to work with and I will definitely return if I have other issues. Highly recommend Dr. Hayward.

Over all, considering I have never had to visit any other facility such as this one, I would say every visit I have had here has been very pleasant. Thank you all very much!

This Doctor has my utmost respect he did a two level fusion on me almost 3 years ago and i recommend him to everyone!!!!! He is very caring and works from his heart not so much concerned about how much money he makes off of you, he is more concerned about getting you back to your healthly self and to as close to 100% as he can. Not many Doctors are like that these days. He takes time to answer questions and values your time.

I have had a good experience with this office. I am satisfied with my results from my surgery and they have been very helpful with my recovery.
