Dr. Franklin Curtis Milgrim, MD

Dr. Milgrim is the most compassionate and responsive provider I’ve encountered. I was able to get an appointment with him right away. He really understands this field. I couldn’t recommend him highly enough.

I have had nothing but a wonderful experience with Dr. Milgrim. He helped pull me out of a serious situation and deal with life in a positive manner. I highly recommend him. I feel like I must address whoever it is that has left negative reviews about his answering his own phone & “liberal use of medication.” First, I have appreciated more than I can say the fact that he answers his phone. I’m grateful for that & have not abused it. Other patients are similar and I never mind if he picks up because I have been in awful situations when I just needed a quick word. If you can’t give that to another patient, then you are probably not a mature client. Secondly, he is a MEDICAL doctor who is crazy up to date on medications, interactions and what’s best. That’s one of the reasons to see a psychiatrist!!! He knows how to appropriately prescribe drugs, he doesn’t hand out narcotics and he is unbelievable ethical. I wish more doctors had his focus, his ethics, his dedication to medicine and… compassion.

I would not recommend Dr Milgrim to anyone. He does have some good things. For Brentwood he is very inexpensive. He only costs about $150 per session which is generally about 40 minutes and he prescribes drugs fairly liberally. The negative things are he is very unprofessional. You can barely fit through his door because his chair is so close to it you have to squeeze your way in. He has no assistant and rudely answers the phone while treating you. He has no personality as he speaks in a monotone while being very unsympathetic to your needs as well. I am bi-polar 2 and he was completely ineffective in treating it. With Dr Milgrim you get what you pay for!

For the first time in my life, I feel like I am actually capable of handling situations with grace and ease. I am happy with his ability to understand my problems and effectively prescribe medication. He is also readily available by phone and text, which is very helpful for my insane schedule. I would highly recommend!!!

Dr. Milgrim was easy to speak to. He immediately puts you at easy and truly listened to what you have to say. Even in the times I was finding it difficult to articulate what I have been going thru and felt like I was just rambling, he was able to understand, rephrase and repeat back to me in order to ensure he got where I was coming from. I felt like l had been seeing him for years on my first visit. Huge upgrade from my former Psychiatrist . If you are seeking help or are dissatisfied with the level of treatment you're receiving from your current Psychiatrist , I would highly recommend making a consultation appointment with Dr. Milgrim. I know everyone thinks that their doctor is the best, because that's what you want. However, if you don't have anything to compare to, how would you know? Not all Psychiatrist are created equal.

Dr. Milgrim is the best! He actually answers his own phone! I have seen a half dozen psychiatrists in my life but Dr, Milgrim was more knowledgeable, clear, compassionate, thorough and helpful than the rest. I since have referred him family members and friends who have all had positive experiences and were helped by this man. I highly recommend him.
