Dr. Franklin Roman Williams

This Dr was the anesthesiologist on two of my surgeries- 5 years apart. The first one -knee replacement- I woke up during surgery. The second surgery - knee replacement - he came in and introduced himself. I didn’t remember him by name and then he said “you know I was in that room with you”. I had no idea what he was talking so just said “oh, Ok”. During this surgery he gave me too much and I had a difficult time waking (4 hours!). The recovery nurse finally called him because I couldn’t stay awake and his response to her was “well, she’ll just have to lay there until she wakes up”. There was no concern, no suggestion, no request to keep him posted. Nothing. Now why would a Dr remind a patient of his error 5 years later right before another surgery? What was his point? I found this to be creepy, scary and certainly unprofessional. I have also expressed this concern at Baptist Prisma Parkridge. In the future I will find out who my anesthesiologist is before hand and make… sure it is not Dr Williams. I consider him dangerous.
