Fred D. Coffman, D.D.S.
Dr. Coffman graduated from the University of California at Davis with a Bachelor of Science degree in genetics. During his time there he was involved in early research into the use of interferon as a cancer treatment. While pursuing research studies he was permitted to enroll in graduate coursework while still an undergraduate.
Dr. Coffman was invited to attend multiple dental colleges including Columbia University in New York City and Emory University in Atlanta Georgia. He elected to attend the University of California at San Francisco where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Sciences and a Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree in 1980.
Upon graduation Dr. Coffman traveled to New Jersey where he worked in a clinic caring for needy families. In addition to California Dr. Coffman is has achieved licensure to practice dentistry in New York and New Jersey and has successfully completed the Northeast Regional State Boards to allow practicing in …Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Delaware, and Massachusetts.
Dr. Coffman has practiced general dentistry in Roseville since 1984. He is a member of the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation and the Academy of General Dentistry, and a past member of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists and past associate member of the American Association of Endodontists.
Always active in postdoctoral education Dr. Coffman has been mentored with the teachings of many of the nations most prominent clinicians and dental practice experts. Among them Doctors: Bill Dorfman of televisions Extreme Makeover and Discus Dental, Gordon Christensen of Clinical Research Associates, William Dickerson of the Las Vegas Institute, David Hornbrook of PacLive, Raymond Bertolotti, Frank Spear, Ross Nash, Howard Farran, Rick Kushner, Earl Estep, Woody Oaks, Travis McFee, Patrick Wahl, and Carl Misch and many others.
