Dr Kelly Cunningham

Dr. Cunningham and his assistant Pete are amazing. They made my ACL surgery go as smoothly as possible, from follow up to setting me up with a great physical therapist. I highly recommend Dr. Cunningham if you are trying to get back into the sport you love after a bad injury.

Dr. Cunningham thought I needed a shoulder tear repair, but was wrong and found an arthritic shoulder and a worn bicep tendon. All he did during surgery was a clean out and take off some bone spurs. He did not re-attach the bicep tendon. I found out later that this should have been done from another surgeon. My bicep tendon ruptured two months after my surgery!I was very upset with Dr. Cunningham when immediately after surgery, during recovery (barely awake) he told me I would need a shoulder replacement in about two years because of the arthritic conditions of my shoulder. He could have waited to give me that news when I was in a better state of mind. He was very flip about what was, to me, very traumatic news.

Dr. Cunningham was highly recommended by a number of folks in the running community. I've seen him for both a knee injury and and arm injury and have been very pleased with him. Although my injuries did not require surgery, he has operated on several of my friends and they have all been pleased with their results. Dr. Cunningham is a first rate surgeon that is friendly, knowledgeable and has a wonderful group of support staff.

Dr Cunningham performed a meniscus trimming and chondral repair on me in October. I had torn my meniscus on a climbing trip. He used my MRI and XRays to quickly diagnose me and plan my surgery. The afternoon after my surgery-- even while still groggy-- I could feel a complete return of stability to my knee. I was amazed. I have not quite reached the 1 month anniversary of my surgery and have almost all function back. The entire office is friendly, fast and efficient. The surgery center is new, nice and very comfortable. I also loved Dr Cunningham's PA-- Pete. Between the two of them, I felt confident about my procedure and care.

Dr. Cunningham was highly recommended to me by a co-worker. He did a hamstring graft for a torn ACL I got from dunking on too many people. He did an awesome job, is a pleasure to be around and I'm nearly fully healed with no pain. The day after surgery, he called to see how I was doing. It was a great experience and I would go back for any other injury. He has my highest recommendation.

Doctor Cunningham has performed five surgeries on me. He is a great caring Doctor and one of only a hand full of Great Doctors willing to help all public Safety personal with workers comp claims.I recently had hip surgery and was back to work in three short weeks.What I like best about Doctor Cunningham is each time I was injured he tried every other option before Surgery. I have had shoulder, knee, and hip Surgery's performed by Doctor Cunningham with no complications.

This doctor was easy to get an appointment with after injuring my knee running. Kelly comes in after waiting for an hour and a half, tells you to take aleve and leaves before you can ask a question. Think of what you need to ask because he doesn't tell you anything, just leaves and sends his PA in. If you don't have your questions prepared they send you out the door with zero guidance. Long story short I have since been to another doctor who has been more successful in treating my ailment and sits and discusses the problem with me.

There was physical damage to my knee, but he told me to do 10-15 sessions of PT. But my knee did not need surgery. However, there is little to no cartilage left in my knee and he told me PT will fix it. His assistants spent more time with me then he did. He came in for less then 5 minutes then left and I never saw him again. I wasted a lot of money there for nothing. There PT was 68 for less then 30 minutes session. Which she just basically rubbed my leg. I could have gotten a better massage for cheaper then that. I felt like I was just a number, instead of person. He wanted just to run them through and make as much money as he could.
