Fred C. Whitmire Jr., D.M.D.
In private practice since 1978, Dr. Fred Whitmire has been providing children in Chattanooga with exceptional comprehensive pediatric dental care. Highly educated, he received his Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University of Alabama School of Dentistry in Birmingham and completed Pediatric Dentistry residencies at Childrenâ€™s Hospital and the University of Alabama School of Dentistry in Birmingham. Dr. Whitmire also served as Chief of Pediatric Dentistry in the United States Army at Fort Campbell, Kentucky and then started in private practice.Â
Dr. Whitmire feels it is important to stay on the cutting-edge of pediatric dentistry. Thus, he maintains memberships in many prestigious professional organizations to keep up-to-date on the latest techniques and technology. He is currently a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the Southeastern Society of Pediatric Dentistry, the Tennessee …Society of Pediatric Dentistry, the Tennessee Dental Association and the Third District Dental Society.
