Dr. Freddie Marton, MD

Doctor Martin took care of me and made sure all my questions were answered. Surely one of the best neurologists I have seen, and he makes sure that my considerations are taken in to account with each check up.

We went to see Dr. Marton for an examination of my daughter The office was packed and I quickly noticed that each patient went in and came out within minutes. He saw my daughter for a total of 4 minutes. In that time, he conducted a reflex test which my pediatrician does and a simple eye tracking test. He spoke to her briefly and in minutes said she was bright and beautiful and a hard worker. What!!!! When I started to ask him questions and attempted to take out medical reports that I brought, he stated, "Don't show my a dozen papers that I will not read, it won't affect my write-up." Again, I attempted to ask a question and he quickly said "Do I have to say this 20 times? "Do you understand me." I have never been spoken to in my life like this. He was condescending, dismissive and obvious only cares about the number of patients he can bill for rather than helping the patient out. I would have given him no stars if I could. I think Dr. Marton has forgotten his… Hippocratic oath when he became a Dr.

I need to write this review because the visit with Dr Morton was one if the most unpleasant experiences of my life.....I went to see him with my 6 year old son. The waiting room was full when we arrived, but surprisingly his office was a revolving door (everyone was in and out in 5 minutes). At first, I wasnt concerned. When we went in he literally spent 5 minutes with us, asked basic questions, made banal and obvious observations then got up and showed us the door. I had a couple of questions but Dr. Morton didnt have time to answer them. He got up and left the room in the middle of my sentence!!!! I was shocked!!!! To make things worse, the receptionist tried to make us pay cash for the EEG test that was performed even though I was convinced that my insurance would pay for it (and it did). In other words, he tried to scheme 60 bucks out of us!!! Please save yourself some time and money and do research before you see these so called specialists!!!!. He should be put out of… business!!!!!

Bad doctor - is far more concerned with squeezing cash out of people before even sees them than he is with being anywhere near thorough. Also, while he is certainly entitled to his religious beliefs, he is inappropriate in that his waiting room is full of religion- themed items. He even had the audacity to ask me what my religion is in front of my children, and questioned me about the religious makeup of the town where I grew up. Overall, having to see him was a unfavorable experience that I would not recommend to anyone.

I am a Family Practice physician with over 35 years of patient care, so I know the ins and outs, and can tell good from bad, so trust this review. My wife and I brought our son to Dr. Marton when he was younger after having a seizure. Our pediatrician recommended Dr. Marton. On the first consultation, the front desk demanded full payment before being seen. I was present in the room the whole time and there was barely any history taken. There was the most cursory neurological exam done.....any medical student would do better. He scheduled an MRI and an EEG. I was present at the MRI, and being a father/doctor, I was afraid for the worst, as any parent would be, and I knew all the horrors that could be found. We had our follow up appointment with Dr. Marton about a week later, trying to control our anxieties. We were sitting in the consultation room on the edges of our seats, afraid we would be getting bad news. Dr. Marton walked in and started rifling though notes and test results,… looking concerned and worried, but didn't say a word. Eventually he blurts out "I thought everything was normal." Again a pause. Then he turned to my wife who was about to faint from fear, and he said " You look so much prettier when you smile". Our jaws must have dropped, so he returned to the papers. Again we wait for the dreaded bad news. Eventually he turned to us and told us everything was normal, not to worry. When we eventually saw the Consultation report sent to our pediatrician, it was totally fabricated....he said he did every neurological test that he felt would look good on the report.....but I know it was all fabricated because I am a physician and was present in the room. I hope I can rate Dr. Marton a negative 4. If you read this, Dr. Marton, I dare you to challenge me!

I don't often write reviews for sites like this, because by their nature they reveal very subjective opinions from people who may or may not have the expertise and experience to say anything that will be truly useful to others. In this case I make an exception because my wife and I have a little expertise, the health of our children, and yours, is so important, and the competence of this doctor is so questionable. Between us my wife and I have three masters degrees related to education and human services and our son is seven years old. We have been deeply involved in his education, and gone to great lengths to educate ourselves about the possible causes of his difficulties with paying attention in school and other behavioral problems. Prior to our visit to Dr. Marton, we spent two hours preparing a sheet that summarized our observations, the observations of our son's teachers, the results of testing done by the Department of education, and the details from past medical exams. When I… tried to hand this to Dr. Marton, he said he had no interest in reading anything. After the most elementary neurological evaluation possible, consisting of techniques that you could learn about on Wikipedia or by watching a movie where a cop administers a sobriety test, he concluded that our son probably had ADD and that we should come in for an EEG the next morning. If you do even the most basic research on this disorder you will find out that educational history and family observations are vital to the diagnosi, and that EEGs are at best an inconclusive addition to the process.I if you are reading this it is likely that your child is having some difficulty that concerns you. While I am sure that Dr. Marton is well-intentioned, I cannot with any confidence whatsoever recommend him to you.

I am shocked to read these reviews. My daughter has been a patient of his for the past 2 years. Yes, we've had to wait in the waiting room, but when it was our turn to be seen he spent a lot of time with us so to me, it made up for it. He genuinely cares for my daughter who is now away at college and calls him sometimes with questions or concerns. He told he she always could, and she does, and he's been very responsive and caring. He did not push medication on us at all, but when she decided to try an antidepressant he worked very closely with her and monitoring her. I think every doctor would have some people who had a bad experience, and some bad reviews are normal, so I would recommend giving him a chance and deciding for yourself. He has worked well for us.
