Dr. Freddie L McRae, MD

Doctor McRae is the absolute BEST. He explained to me that every patient is different and don't believe everything you read on the internet (about my condition w/gall bladder) He also explained what would happen if I didn't get it removed....The pain was already unbearable!! Worst than labor (and I have 5 kids) I was so afraid to get it removed because I thought I needed it, even if it didn't work so good. Afraid to eat anything cheesy or buttery or w/alfredo. But now I am so HAPPY that chapter in my life is OVER!! thanks to Dr. McRae! I can eat anything now (idk why) but I can, this was over three years ago. Very grateful to have him perform my surgery.....I hope if I ever need any other surgeries, he will not be retired. He also did my peri-thyroid removal as well.

Simply the best there is

I was somewhat shock with Dr. Freddie McRae beside manner, did not seeing me for releasing me from surgery, unaware of complications from surgery, his office did not call me after surgery and in my opinion something went wrong in my surgery. I am praying to God to have no more problems and would not refer him in the future. The office staff was wonderful. Please also noted he has no other Doctors in his office and no Physician Assistant.

This doctor did not have the decency to see me before my surgery nor did he see me after my surgery. No personality whatsoever. Would never recommend.

HAD MY PORT REMOVED IN MAY. DR M NEVER CAME IN TO SEE ME BEFORE THE SURGERY NOR DID HE STOP IN AFTER THE PORT REMOVAL.. NO PERSONALITY WHAT SO EVER.

I am a patient of Dr Mccrae and have found his reputation thorough and staff to attentive and professional. I have had a good exp with his staff as well as the Dr himself and find that all people are never going to be happy regardless of what is mdoen or not done. I am a St pete native and have been recommended to Dr Mccrae who gets high fives on all interactions with patients. As a retiree i have learned that its not always about me and my health rather the hundreds of thousands who are concerned as well about others..Dr Mccrae has many patients and as a comm based professional we all would do well to accept that there are pains.. and then there are PAINS..Thx Dr

I chose Dr Mcrae for Inguinal Hernia surgery. From the first appointment i should have known something was wrong because he was always short with me and made me feel foolish and uncomfortable for asking questions regarding my procedure.After the surgery he continued to say the same thing that he told me from the beginning "Ive done a thousand of these, everything is good." Well everything wasnt good! I had persistant pain around the area of the surgery and when I went back to visit the Dr a year after the surgery he was disrespecful and told me that he doesnt think anything was wrong and I should get a CT scan. After getting the CT scan he would not even speak with me on the phone to tell me the findings. He had his secretary call me and tell me that everything looked fine and there was nothing more that he could do for me. She told me that all they could do was refer me to a pain management clinic. I am still struggling with the pain every day and I am now seeking help from another… Hernia Specialist.
