Dr. Frederic Alan Henney, MD

This doctor took care of my dad for many years. But when it got to the point my dad's Crohn's came back it totally lost interest. When my dad fell 2 years ago this doctor prescribed an an Hydocodone three weeks in a row without ever taking an xray. A month later was so bad we had to take him to the ER on recommendation of the new VA GI doctor. My father had a very bad concussion and a fractured spine. Henney should never be allowed to practice medicine again! My dad ended up dying of Crohn's later that year. We will never know for sure if Henney's lack of good medicine had anything to do with my dad's death. He has moved to FLorida from what I understand. Indiana University would not let him sign up with them, but do not know why. All I can say is I wish he practice no more!

Dr. Henney is a good doctor. He's kind of a quiet guy, but will willingly answer any questions you may have. Doctors aren't mind readers. If you have questions or concerns, bring them up. He is a great diagnostician. He did a good job of explaining my condition, ordering necessary tests and referring me on to a specialist for treatment. Jenny, who works in his office, is very nice and his nurse is nice too. Like most family practice docs, he is busy so same day appointments may be difficult to get. He also does anesthesia at the hospital so there are some days when he may get held up in surgery. These circumstances are beyond his control. His staff is good about letting you know though and gives you the choice of either waiting or rescheduling.
