Dr. Frederic Scoopo, MD

My mother was a patient of Dr. Scoopo's and we thought we could rely him to take good care of her. We were very mistaken. I brought my mother to him last summer 2018, because she was having a very difficult time breathing and because she had no appetite and was losing weight rapidly. My mother was a patient because she had COPD, but this was different, she had never had these extreme symptoms before. He had a chest X-ray taken downstairs in the same building and said it was normal. I again stressed to him that she was not doing well and that this was different. He very glibly stated that she needed to eat more to gain weight and that was why she was having a hard time breathing. I felt that we could trust him and naively believed him. Things got progressively worse for my mother and we finally had to have her taken to the ER where she quickly was diagnosed with multiple blood clots in her lungs. Six days later she died. This was 10 days after her Dr. Scoopo visit. This man is a… pulmonologist and couldn't diagnose that she had blood clots in her lungs. He sent her home knowing she had lost a drastic amount of weight and couldn't breath.I guess in his mind she didn't matter because she was 88 years old, but she mattered very much to our family. We are heartbroken and the loss is unbearable. Run don't walk away from Dr. Scoopo, he is a very bad doctor and we hold him responsible for my mother's death.

Dr. Scoopo is the best Pulmonologist that I have seen either in the Clinic or in a Hospital setting. Courteous, friendly and expert Dr. Scoopo was able to provise tht best care as well as answer all my questions concerning both asthmatic chitis (in the hospital) and my general asthma.

Dr. Scoopo is an excellent doctor, the care and concern from this doctor was genuine...After breathing test, I received results immediately, and was given a thorough explanation of the results. I would highly recommend this doctor to family and friends.

Exceptional physician.....caring, competent with a sense of humor.

only problem I have is if I have to call office to make an additional app't it's very hard to get thru. no return calls. I don't know if they;re having a phone problem or what. I'm trying to give them the benefit of a doubt.
