Dr. Frederick Edward Albrecht, MD

I have been a patient for several years now. He takes the time to explain everything so you can understand. He is very caring. He calls when lab results are done and explains all results. I absolutely love this guy. You won't find a better Dr. anywhere.

I have been a patient of Dr Albrecht for years and he is by far the best Dr I have ever gone to. He is very knowledgeable and caring and always takes the time to listen to his patients concerns. He's the only DR I have ever had that takes the time to call me himself with lab results so he can go over and explain all the results with me. I cannot say enough good things about him.

My primary care provider referred me to Dr. Albrect for a consult about how my medications might be affecting my kidneys. I was having no symptoms of kidney problems at all. Based on my medical profile and age, he ordered lab tests and an ultrasound. The lab results came back within normal range. I asked if I should still have the ultrasound and he said yes. The ultrasound revealed I had a small cancerous tumor in my kidney. Because I had no symptoms, the tumor would have been much larger and likely metastatic by the time I developed symptoms. I had kidney surgery which successfully removed the tumor and it had not spread. Two of my other physicians have expressed admiration for his intuition in going forward with the ultrasound. They said they may not have made the same decision based on the lab numbers and were happy for me that he followed his intuitive assessment of the need for it. He is kind, a good listener and explains medical information clearly. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Albrecht is kind, engaged and proactive in treating my end stage kidney disease. With his help I am holding steady while waiting for a kidney/pancreas transplant at the UW. I would whole-heartedly recommend him to anyone looking for a nephrologist!
