Dr. Frederick Charles Delafield, MD

I got with Dr. Delafield as I went thru the emergency room with my gall bladder. Dr. Delafield was the DR of reason on all that transpired and he made sense of what was happening. I highly recommend him.

Met Dr. Delafield upon admitting mother who had just transferred from another hospital with cancer diagnosis. Family began to enter room with her belongings and he stopped us, saying he only wanted one person in the room. Rest of family (still holding mom's belongings) stayed outside door in hall hoping to hear what he had to say. When he saw them listening, he went over and shut the door. We had been waiting and told we would get answers when we went to Mercy oncology, but got shut out instead! One regret I have to give him a rating of 1 rather than the 0 he deserves!

My primary care physician said to me, "Oh you see friendly Fred" jokingly of course, for those of us that have crossed his path know what I'm talking about. I give him 5 stars because of the fact that when I was in Mercy hospital, he helped diagnose me with antiphospholipid antibody syndrome which cause small strokes instead of having the misdiagnoses of Multiple Sclerosis, he actually helped saved me from having some huge problems, his personality is a force to be reckon with, haha, but he is a very smart doctor, in my case he was the best of the best, but now i see a rhumatologist in Edmond who is wonderful, pesonality and all, but his staff and nurse have the personality of a wet mop

He has treated my arthritis for 17 years, and has been primary care physician for most of that time Highly knowledgeable, successfully treated me after McBride, OU Univ Hosp and others failed. Amazed how quickly he gets me into the office when I call. Always think he spends too much time with me and leaves no questions unanswered. His staff is super to me, pleasant and professional. The critical reviews about him are not fair and probably by old grumpy people that expected a miracle. Could not ask for a finer physician and recommend him highly!!!!

He contradicts himself constantly. He was trying to tell how I should take my other medication and telling if I'm not in pain all the time I shouldn't take it and telling me I should only take so much of it. He basically told me he couldn't help me then I felt I wasted time with this doctor.

This doctor acted as though I was a hypocondriac from the first. I was very uncomfortable with him (no nurse in the room). He hurried through my appointment and did not like the fact that I asked any questions. He did very little lab work; I saw him three times in a year and a half and only because I called the final time and asked for both an appointment and lab work. He acted very resentful of my questioning any thing and basically said there was nothing wrong with me. I would not refer any person to this "Doctor!"

Spends the majority of his time with his head in the computer. He barely speaks to you. Acts totally uninterested. Runs tests but does not give you any results. His head nurse, Denise, thinks SHE is the doctor. She has way too much power. If you are in need of a medication refill, it is up to her, not the doctor. If she doesn't like you, which seems to be the case and what I have heard from other patients, then you don't get your refills. She is very hateful. She barely speaks to you. His receptionist Ashley is on her personal cell phone the majority of the time, when she is even in the office. Seems like she is gone a lot. She makes no effort to make you feel welcome or comfortable. For a doctor who deals with patients in pain, he has little compassion. The doctor and his nurse Denise have the personalities of someone dead. There are MANY of his patients that feel the same way about all of this.

It took for ever to get in to see Dr. Delafield, he spent very little time with me and his diagnoses was a definite maybe. I'm still suffering and have not received any relief from him or his office.I'm still waiting for a call from his nurse!

NO bedside manner Visably tense mannerismsDoes not look at you, mainly looks at a computer screen while filling in forms.He should retire.
