Dr. Frederick Michael Detorres, MD

Dr. Detorres is very professional, thoughtful and kind.I have been in his care for 3 years and my asthma has never in better control. He sees me on a regular basis and is always available if I do need to see someone. Inhalers are sometime so expensive I can't afford them. He has worked with me to get one insurance helps with. Feeling Blessed!

I have been a patient of Dr. DeTorres’ for many years. His care has been excellent! He is professional, competent, and compassionate. He is certainly an expert in his field! I never feel rushed when I see him, and he is always willing to answer any questions. I appreciate his care and encouragement, as well as his great sense of humor! I have recommended Dr. DeTorres to friends and relatives, and everyone has agreed he is the best!! Thank you Dr. DeTorres!!! ????

no testing done. I was put on expensive inhalers and mists. I ended up hospitalized for two days for extreme shortness of breathe, chest tightness and pain, nausea.....I called the office after I returned home. I asked if the inhaler could cause this. I was told NO! But I could go off of it for a week to see for myself. Person on the phone was rude. I was in the middle of an attack. Struggling to breathe. I asked what I should do? I was told if it was that bad to go back to emergency. No help at all. I found out days later that this was an serious side effect of the inhaler.

I saw Dr. DeTorres for reoccurring severe sinus infections. After three visits of focusing on treating me for asthma I still was not treated for sinus issues that I saw Dr. DeTorres for. I wrote the doctor a very concerning letter and voiced my concerns and asked him to contact me when he had some free time or send me a quick letter letting me know if he was going to start treating me for the sinus infections. I gave him a month to contact me and said if I didn't hear from him that would signal me that I was not important enough to keep me as a patient. I contacted his office because I am on social security and have a limited income and could not continue to pay the $50.00 co-pays for treatments that had nothing to do with why I was seeing him.

I think Dr Detorres is a wonderful doctor.He takes is time and listens to me but the most imporant thing is i never feel like he is rushing me out of the office he always takes his time.

Dr. Detorres is a family oriented and friendly doctor who never makes you feel rushed. He is very knowlegeable in his field and his Shoreline Allergy practice has a homely feel to it. He is willing to take in anyone and will never turn a patient away. He is a fine representation of his educational institution and trully represents what is means to be a doctor today.

Dr. DeTorres is the only allergist in town and truly knows his medicine. I am surprised at how crude people are being about him becuase everyone I know adores him as a man and physician.

Dr. Detorres spoke like a hood from the street of New York (where he is from). He is far from professional. While in my room I heard him screaming at his staff and one of my friends said she has on two occations heard him bad mouthing / yelling at his wife. He treats his wife as bad as his patients and I can't understand why anyone goes here.

This doctor needs a lesson in humility. He is arrogant and self-centered. He wants to make money but does not want to spend time with his patients. Would not recommend!
