Dr. Frederick Joseph Gandolfo, MD

Dr Gandolfo is an excellent doctor! I have been going to him for several years after going to numerous other gastroenterologists. What I found different about him is that he actually takes the time to listen and discuss. He doesn’t try to rush through appointments and I have always left feeling like all of my questions have been answered thoroughly and thoughtfully, including questions I didn’t know I had but would have thought of later, after the I left. There are occasionally longer wait times at the office but it’s well worth it especially knowing that if you have a more complex condition he is willing to take as much time with you as needed to figure out a treatment plan.

Dr Gandolfo is a “nice guy”, however on the medical side this practice is mediocre at best. I visited the office on 3 occasions and found it to be mainly a co-pay game. On my last appointment, hours past my booked slot the doctor did not even have my chart present. I was told to take nexium and he would find my chart at the previous office and get back to me. Almost a week later I called to inquire and the receptionist Sandra told me that it’s not her fault or her problem and I should have taken the initiative and called the office he practiced in prior to them letting him go if I wanted my charts. I could not fathom how a doctors office would have that response to a patient. I told her that I had missed work, meetings and family events due to the pain I was in and she said “that’s unfortunate but there is nothing I can do”. I quietly hung up and made plans to find a new doctor. Sandra then called me back to explain to me how this practice “works”. I asked why she was calling me back… and her response was she was reiterating what she said before so I would understand. Her tone was very sarcastic as well as unprofessional. At That time I explained That she was borderline harassing me and that she should remember she represents the doctor and it is not her practice, nor is there a reason to speak to a patient in that fashion. I told her that due to her behavior I would not be visiting the practice again and that I wanted to speak to the doctor regarding the fact that I don’t have my chart and I felt that my care was lacking. I asked for my chart from my endoscopy so that I could go to another doctor and she said if you’re not coming here go get it yourself. I suggest finding a different office if you were actually looking to take care of yourself because this is certainly not the one Update: when Sandra told me that if I wanted my chart that badly to go get it myself I asked her if she was f*cking kidding. I find it hilarious and sad that when I was in dire pain asking for help they could not get in touch with the doctor however over one profanity that was not directed toward Sandra yet directed toward my question the doctor was available instantly to leave me a message telling me I would no longer be welcome at the practice. I find it sad that Offices such as these represent the medical field and we are supposed to trust our health and well-being to them. A week later I am still in dire pain, no one can find or be bothered to find my chart with my endoscopy And I will now have to start the process from scratch because I had trust in this man to help me; the oath that they take before money is involved. I have passed all recordings to my attorney who plans to reach out to the medical board regarding this incident And also to outline this Unfortunate behavior. Good luck to those who decide to visit this office You will certainly need it.

Dr. Gondolfo was kind and caring until an elderly patient couldn’t pay a tiny portion of the bill and left her in need during the middle of a process he started . He was in the hospital with a smile, did her surgeries , was paid . Although, when it came to less than hundreds out of many thousands that had to be paid he refused her in pain. He is dispiciable and I would never bring a loved one! He’s nothing more than a paid actor who practices medicines , no heart and no bed side manner!

Dr. was very polite, kind and thoughtful at my first visit and throughout the procedures. It was a pleasure being his patient. The time spent was acceptable. His efficiency was superb, results and information given. Thank you, Dr. Gandolfo.

Dr Gandolfo is a caring and knowledgeable Dr. He took care of my Mom in the hospital and was the only Dr that made sure my Mom was getting the proper diagnosis ans care! He also did my endoscopy and was amazing.

Very good doctor with correct diagnosis

Dr.G was very informative of what test I should have. He had a lot of knowledge of my symptoms. He was patient and kind and I would highly reccomend him and his staff.

Dr. G is the best! Made me feel very comfortable. Great staff and my procedure was a piece of cake!
