Super knowledgeable, well-informed and compassionate. He has been a life saver for me more than once.

He turned my life around. He cares.

I've worked with Dr. Jacobsen (as a patient) for many years. The level of care is excellent. He gives great attention to the 'whole patient,' not just to specialized topics.

I have been a patient of Dr. Jacobsen for over 20 years, He has seen me through many stages of mental illness and has worked with me help me find the treatment plans necessary as my life moves on. Those last five words, AS MY LIFE MOVES ON, sum up the reason I give my highest commendation to Dr. Jacobsen. If I could not write that, nothing else would matter. He has responded to my phone calls and made room for me at short notice. I want the doctor who is going to fit me in, even if he has to apologize to another patient for a delay. He is great at answering my questions and often my questions confuse me. I am glad he is working to stay ahead of the curve to treat the unfolding and sometimes bizarre chapters of my mental health. Thank you Dr. Jacobsen.

Consistently late, distracted, always seems to be preparing for his next high-fee lecture somewhere. If you look at his CV, you see lightweight topics in lightweight journals. Interestingly, doesn't list his residency in Psychiatry at Yale U. where he had a bad rep. Always scheming about how to climb the money tree not have to deal with insurance so he can earn bigger bucks with less hassle. Definitely only for the uninformed 1%. All others should seek elsewhere for humane, modern treatment

Does he ever call back!! Can't he afford a secretary.... I am very suspicious of this supposed professional.

I've been going to Dr Jacobsen for almost 10 years and have been extremely happy with my experience. He does not deal with insurance which can be a pain (because that means YOU have to deal with it - and you see why he doens't want to....)

Would be easier to be able to communicate about certain matters with hi on eamil and owuld probably save both of us a lot of time.
