Dr Marciano is an excellent doctor. I like his straight talk that is to the point. I would highly recommend him.

Not only a great doctor , he has a great staff as well. I had terrible pain due to cervical spine compression. I was a little nervous getting ready for surgery, Dr.Tom and Dr. Steve prep me and made me feel very relaxed. When I woke up my pain was gone and hasn't returned! He and his team are the very best. an extremely careing physican, my spinal fusion surgery was extremely successful, I would heartily recommend him and his team.

I was in a car accident at age 18 and suffered a cervical injury to my neck. Over the years, my neck slowly eroded and I dealt with sporadic pain, weakness and numbness. In the fall of 2014 (32 years later), I began experiencing the feeling of difficulty swallowing, and pain and numbness in my face and arms. I was terrified. After visiting my family doctor, I asked to be referred to Barrow Neurosurgical Associates and Dr. Frederick Marciano in particular (after noting his designation as a "Top Doc"). Dr. Marciano reviewed my MRI's and recommended Anterior Cervical Discectomy with Fusion (ACDF) due to bone spurs, deterioration of the discs and marked impingement on the spinal cord. I was very frightened and nervous going into the surgery. I just want to say that Dr. Marciano is kind, compassionate and wonderful! He is a great listener. He allayed my fears and we proceeded with the surgery. I am at 15 weeks post op and feeling very good. I am still healing but am doing great. … I was treated very well at all of the post-op visits and he is always patient and kind. I feel that he saved my life and I am so fortunate that he was my doctor. Thank you again, Dr. Marciano.

I am the husband of a surgery nurse with experience of over 30 years experience. I needed Disc surgery. The surgery staff at her hospital overwhelmingly recommended Dr. Marciano. He did not even work at her particular hospital. But physicians and nurses there recommended Dr. Marciano.The Surgery was done at Scottsdale Healthcare at Osborn, instead. Very greatful and haven't had any related problems since my microdiscectemy. Sciatic pain is gone after enduring 18 months pain. I'm writing this 4 or 5 years later

Dr. Marciano is an amazing Doctor who seems to genuinely care for his patients. He made me feel comfortable with the decision to have neurosurgery every step of the way. My questions were always answered, and his staff was always helpful and accommodating. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone. I only wish there were more Doctors like him. I have nothing but praise for him!

Couldn't have asked for a better doctor! I had a motorcycle accident and cracked my skull. He was very caring and explained everything he was going to do and why. Did the same with my family, they remember it, not me. Visited me regularly after to see how I was doing. Visits at his office after were just as pleasant. Very down to earth doctor! Knows how to explain things to someone without medical knowledge, wish i could say that about my hand surgeon! Hope this helps anyone looking for a great caring Neurosurgeon. ps i had a brain aneurysm, which required removing part of my skull to fix. I thank God for Dr Marciano! Couldn't have asked for better results.

Dr. Marciano,You treated my L5 herniation with much appreciated haste and wonderful skill. I was experiencing relentless pain I could not have imagined prior to my injury. The week prior to surgery is a blur to me now (I'm glad to forget it!) You came in on a weekend day (when you weren't even on-call and I was a new patient) to treat me. I will never forget that. Now four days post-op, I feel fantastic. I haven't had any pain meds since discharge on Sunday. I look forward to my follow up meeting with you.
