Dr. Frederick Joseph Snoy, MD

I went to Dr. Snoy as I'm an older man (70) and was having a hard time urinating. Dr. Snoy tried different medications, which helped some but I still had problems. He recommended a TURP procedure, which involves using a laser to trim down the prostate and relieve this condition. As bad as it sounded, I felt I had no other options, so I went ahead and had it done. It went great. It only took one hour at the hospital under anesthesia, and I didn't even need a Tylenol when it was over. It was better than I could have imagined, and now, 5 weeks later, I'm peeing like an 18 year old again. I highly recommend Dr. Snoy and his practice.

If you want answers, this is not the doc to go to. If your primary recommends him, ask for someone else. Very inattentive, seemed irritated by our presence and, most importantly, not at all proactive. He didn't order any tests for the pain my husband was experiencing, but instead said "I don't know what it is." Really, doc? We were paying you to do something, even if it was referring us elsewhere. Dr. "I don't know" retire already!

I went in because I had chronic UTI issues and taking antibiotics was not a long term solution. Dr. Snoy suggested an Ultra Sound. After the Ultra Sound was performed, he said I had a dilated kidney and he sent me for a VCUG. When the results of that test came back, he said he still didn't know why I had a dilated kidney so he sent me for a Cat Scan. When I went in after the Cat Scan with questions about why I had chronic UTI's and a dilated kidney, he asked "Why are you asking so many questions?" I said "For answers". He had none.

Worthless. Uninformed. Should have retied years ago. Zero confidence and trust. Stupid. Ill equipped to operate as a doctor. If you simply want someone to perform an urological procedure and you don't have any inclination to review what procedure or advice you are getting, and don't care about a positive outcome - Then Snoy's for you. He's outlived his medical purposefulness. He's dangerous. I do not recommend.

My family member was supposed to have laser surgery to remove a kidney stome.. Dr couldnt find it left it inside of him and sent him on his way!! With a stent in him...? If he didnt do anything why would he put a stent? And send him home without trying to find it and do more imaging the next day! Also dr Federick Snoy didnt give him NO PAIN MEDS for the mess he did...

I have been very pleased with my care from Dr. Snoy. I am confident in his knowledge regarding my issue and his decisions on how best to handle it. He did provide me with different treatment options and weighed in on how he thought it best to proceed. My surgery went well and all of the post operative care I have received so far has been very good.

Though my first impression found Dr. Snoy to be distant, I quickly considered him to be attentive, thoughtful, complete, caring, and quite knowledgable and skilled. The staff was exceptionally professional and caring. Check-in and the moment in the waiting room was quite pleasant every visit. Dr. Snoy took the time to work through to the right solution to my pain and "house arrest". I am so very happy I am treated by Dr. Snoy and I recommend him.

First, he has a great office staff. Erica saw me waiting outside before the office opened and allowed me to wait inside. I didn't have an appointment on a very busy day, but she managed to work me in for my urgent symptoms. The super service and care continues into the clinic with a great MA. Dr. Snoy is attentive and listens, he provides options and discusses possible avenues of care. No embarrassment talking about a difficult subject. He. Was able to see me quickly without referral authorization. I spent a week trying to get an appointment scheduled at a different office. I finally gave up and contacted Dr snoy and I'm so glad I did.

Have seeing Dr Snoy for 20+years ,at once a year . His very thorough always looking for changes in the tests . He alerted me to the fact my creatine was steadily increasing .if I hadn't Take care of it , I would have had serious kidney problems . He is also an excellent surgeon . I had some procedures done by him very successfully. I trust Dr Snoy and consider him the best Uroloist in New Mexico .
