Dr Thurmond is the most caring, sincere, honest physician I have ever had the privilege of coming into contact with. He takes time with his patients. ALWAYS, does what is best for both patient and family despite insurance or other barriers. He will really go to bat for whatever his patient needs. He is the type of man that would give you the shirt off his back even if doing that would harm him in some way. Rarely have I had the pleasure of working with or seeing a physician who still truly believes in the Hippocratic oath he recited at med school, but he does. This man is a gem! A diamond in this rough jungle we call healthcare, with a love for Family, medicine, God and everything good in life. He doesn't live extravagantly, doesn't boast his own ego and is simply a genuinely good man. If the gates of heaven have ever been readily open for a soul it certainly is for this man. He gives 110% of himself to his patient's, his staff, his family and his friends. Always there in times of… need and sorrow, and joy and happiness as well. You couldn't ask for a better person.
