Dr. Frederick Mark Wang, MD

We have been going to Dr. Wang since my daughter was 5 and misdiagnosed by two other doctors. We find him to be warm , compassionate and very knowledgeable . My daughter is now 16 and she still loves, him ( and 16 years olds don't like any one ) . I always ask for the first appointment and we are in and out by 9 am . His office staff is always pleasant and accommodating . I highly recommend him as I think that he is the best pediatric ophthalmologist in NYC . In reading other reviews, yes his staff can get cranky, but did you ever watch the way that people treat them , or the mom that has an appointment for one child and shows up with three , or shows up 20 minutes late etc.

While Dr Wang is a wonderful Doctor, the whole office experience is a nightmare. The woman who gives rhe eye drops does not smile and is not a natural with children. A pediatric practice should employ people that like working with children!! The woman did nothing to allay the fears of my child and did not smile once ! Likewise for the office staff. They overbook appointments ( 3 patients are given the same time slot).. I was in the office for over three hours!!! Will rethink my next visit!

Needs to work on his bedside manner and relating to patients and answering their questions

Although he may be a great doctor, he is rude, nasty, and impatient with normal jumpy kids
