Dr. Fredrick Charbel Hayek, MD

Dr Hayek has been my Dr since the mid 90's and I am very pleased with him as a doctor. His staff is just as wonderful.

The dr is rude. Sometimes he acts like he has no.knowledge what so ever. I would never refer anyone to go see him at all

Last Tuesday Dr. Hayek visited my father in his room at Mercy Medical. My mother was present. Dr. Hayek was very rude and left my mother in tears. He basically released my sick father to go home. He listed several doctors for him to see not even asking if he was already doctoring with anyone. My father has been in Mercy 5 different times and they cannot find his problem. Dr. Hayek told my dad the following, "your liver looks like Swiss cheese, your spleen is enlarged and your white blood count is 49. Nothing else we can do here. Go seek help from oncologist and gastroenterologist. My father already has those specialists. His discharge papers were given to my mom and a prescription was written for a heart medication with a lady's name on it. Not my dad. They also said Dr. Hayek never once asked if they had questions. He more or less treated them as if they did not matter in society. I am extremely upset as well as my entire family. Mercy Medical will be hearing of this doctor's… uncaring and hurtful bedside manner. I would never refer anyone to mercy medical and definitely not to Dr. Hayek.
