There simply is no better doctor than Dr. Wigley. He is the world's top expert in scleroderma, for starters. After that, he is kind, compassionate, attentive to detail unlike any other doctor, and just the overall one of the premier doctors in the world.

I’ve been with Dr. Wigley for nearly 20 years. He is head and shoulders above most doctors in intelligence, keeping up to date and compassion. Words don’t do justice to my appreciation and that of my family. He also took care of my mother and made recommendations for my daughter. We all have chronic autoimmune issues. I am confident had I not been referred to Dr. Wigley years ago I would not be alive today. I have had periods of remission and enjoyable life. My deepest appreciation to a giant of a medical servant!!!

Very intelligent

As patients who have to negotiate the complicated medical field in order to procure the best understanding and treatments for our given situations, we really do not have the time or energy to properly vet doctors. Therefore, we are at a disadvantage to locate quickly a doctor, unless, we can happenstance and discover a site where former, and/or current patients share tidbits of information that are important to most of us. Therefore, as a patient who was diagnosed with Scleroderma in 2008, and who literally went through a litany of varied Rheumatologists, I can confessed that I was quite fortunate to find Dr. Fredrick Wigley. Dr. Wigley, took his time to explain to me everything that was going on with my given condition. He went over the possible scenarios and the possible treatments and what would and should be monitored. Moreover, it goes without saying that what separates Dr. Wigley from other doctors his ability to listen, to be compassionate, and understand his patients. He has… great bedside manners that make you feel like you are being validate as a patient. He puts you at ease and relieves your stress. If you are fortunate enough to see Dr. Wigley, then I applaud you for making a great decision.

I finally found the ONE specialist when I met Dr Wigley. He is the kindest, most compassionate, knowledgebale doctor I met in the Scleroderma field. I had been to over 10 doctors until I finally found THE ONE doctor to be my saviour.I truly thank G-D that I found him. He is thorough, considerate and kind. He responds immediately to my e mails as I live in Florida and visit once a year. His staff is wonderful. His bedside manner is excellent and the time he spends with me is so gratifying. I look forwad to seeing him again soon.

Dr. Wigley has been treating my wife for over 10 years, when she was previously wrongly diagnosed by a highly prominent NYC Rheumatologist for many years. Under his care her outcome has been as best as you could possibly hope for.....he is a standing example of why Johns Hopkins is rated #1 for Rheumatology by US News and World Report year after year...he is the finest doctor I have ever met, and we have met many top Castle Connelly "Top" doctors attached to world class institutions.His expertise and thoroughness is only outmatched by his compassion and dedication to his patients. We only angst the day he decides to retire, but in our world he is our "chief medical officer" or "GOD" if we have need any opinion on my wife's medical well-being.

Dr. Wigley has been my doctor for nearly 12 years. He is the best. The words caring, kind, concerned, gentle, humorous and well-informed come to mind.
