Dr. Frits Van Rhee, MD

Upon reading many reviews about this doctor, and traveling with my brother to see him from another country, I wish there were better things to say. I don't know if we caught him on an "off" day, or he just didn't look at any history himself, but his answers were not satisfactory. He did not know what tests had been run, was not clear on the reasons for the test abnormalities when asked. I am not sure how my brother was paired with this doctor, but we left with more questions than answers. We certainly did not expect this from the reviews, and the amount of training and expertise of this doctor, particularly since he was educated outside of the U.S. My brother did find another haemotologist, who was able to diagnose what turned out to be, unfortunately, a quite serious condition, and she seemed more inclined to help and explain things. Possibly this worked out for the best, as my brother is more comfortable with her, and seems satisfied with his course of treatment.

My wife and I--I am the patient---but she is with me in this fight---both feel so blessed to be in the care of this man. We know that he cares about each of his patients as individuals as well as cancer patients. His knowledge is evident. His diligence in his developing a plan of treatment for each of his patients is astounding. I know that his office staff respects him greatly and feel that they have learned so much from him. The nurses in the hospital in which he practices often confide in the patients how much they admire him. Regardless of the outcome of my treatment, I feel that I am blessed to have in the care of Dr. Van Rhee.

My husband and I traveled many miles to and from Arkansas for me to be treated by one of the best Doctor anywhere. I know anyone that sees him for any kind of treatment will be amazed at the care they will receive. He is not only a great doctor, but becomes a caring friend as he treats you.
