Dr. Fulgencio Antuna, MD

It is hard to find competent Dr.'s in Vegas and Dr. Antina went out of his way to review and examine everything about me. Yes he likes to talk but I found him very engaging

Bad experience in the office, came in for a complete physical exam, advised him its been years as i was unable to afford insurance. He replied saying that it is my fault i wasn't able to afford the insurance cost and not HIM as a tax payer has to pay more. I was about to walk out then he stated "Arent you here for your physical? is there something else going on with you mind today?" I say yes i am but before i could tell him the reason i was going to walk out, he states he is now 15 mins behind, and that he will only order labs normal for a physical and to schedule an appointment to come back to go over them. He then stood up, handed me a lab slip, opened the door and called out to his medical nurse to walk me out to the waiting room to make an appointment "ON A NON BUSY DAY!" I left crying, the front desk women tried to comfort me but Dr. Antuna saw what was happening and he immediately called the women comforting me to the back and told the other receptionist to give me a business… card with the phone number to make appointments over the phone and told me to call instead as his office is again "BEHIND". I see him at smiths and he likes to tell people hes top doctor of las vegas for the past 5 years, not once did i see his name for that award when i did my research. I hope he slips and breaks his hip.

Wish I could leave no stars, Very rude, he cut me off every chance he could when i would talk. I came in for abdominal pain which he only pressed but when i mentioned my shoulder stiffness, he flat out told me this was inappropriate to ask about my shoulder as he only has a few minuets to address one issue and that i should have known better. before i could say anything he stood up, opened the door and said we are done here and to schedule next appointment for my shoulder and he walked out.

I have changed insurance plans 3 times in order to continue seeing him. I really like him and he answers my questions - sometimes having to ask twice though. When I complained about pain in my neck and back he ordered MRIs of the lumbar and cervical areas which gave me more information than I had already.

I know more about his kids that my own self. 90 percent of the appointment is about him and who he knows. wouldnt even address my back pain as he has to move along.

I was a patient for many years, but increasingly, Dr. Antuna has acted as if I was wasting his time. Questions were brushed aside, and I definitely felt as if the clock was running. For example, when I said, "I have a few more questions," he replied, "I have to be moving along." And then he ushered me out the door. No diagnosis other than checking out Sunrise Hospital's Psychiatric Ward. Really disillusioning.

The best doctor that I've ever been to and I would recommend him to anyone that needed a first class doctor

More focused on talking about himself than in caring for his patients. Arrogant and condescending.

I originally thought he was the best doctor. I even referred many people to him. Then he moved into a different practice and he lost the personal touch. He prescribed me the wrong dosage but did not tell me, so I took 3 times the dose I thought I was taking. He failed to address heart burn and headaches, despite being asked about it for almost a year. He also refused to continue to treat me for depression and told me to seek a psychiatrist and eliminated my antidepressant without knowing I had a new doctor, thus forcing me to cold-turkey it from an antidepressant. I thought I would need to check into a mental hospital. If you are thinking of him, go somewhere else.
