This Dr was absolutely wonderful! Very professional; great bedside manner; very thorough, and cared for me as a patient should be cared for. He made sure that while he was on call over the weekend, that the hospital staff finally got their act together and did their job, after I had done without the medication and the treatment I was supposed to be getting. When he showed up, that all charged because he stepped up to the plate ad took charge. Thank you Dr. Defour, for taking action that should have already been taken before you arrived!

Wonderful Physician blessed that he took care of me in hospital. So thankful for the diligent Dr Defour showed for my care and treatment as well as care after hospital.

Dr. Defour is extremely competent in internal medicine, and his bedside manner is superb. I could not ask for better care!

This doctor had the IV saline solution stopped mid treatment in order to discharge a patient that he didn’t feel like helping. Patient was brought to the E R after a seizure that may have been caused by dehydration, was admitted by ER Dr. with recommendation for neurological evaluation but Dr Defour just didn’t care. Thomas Hospital is wonderful, why they allow this individual to practice there is beyond my comprehension.

Dr Defour was the hospitalist on today(Dec 3rd 2018) and he was super nice and explained everything to better help us understand. He joked with us some and also seemed very knowledgeable about what was going on.

Infirmary Health Systems should NOT allow this man to be a hospitalist in their facilities! He actually harassed my family on 3 occasions DEMANDING that we sign a DNR on my father! My father refused the DNR, so he then harassed the family! My father had complications after a procedure. Defour did not know what to do- his answer was DNR!!! Other specialists did not agree with Defour. We will NEVER be in this position again. A patient has rights! Amusing/Ironic thing is that this sight has Defour as specialized in "weight loss & heartburn"-- maybe he should stick with those symptoms. He might be able to handle Tums, Mylanta, & SlimFast or WeightWatchers! Beware- Demand a different hospitalist!

Horrible Hospitalist! I WILL MAKE SURE THAT IF I HAVE AN OVERNIGHT VISIT TO THOMAS HOSPITAL MY NEXT VISIT, THIS MAN WILL NOT BE MY PHYSICIAN!!!! And he call himself a doctor? I saw him twice during a 4 day stay. I think he believes he's attractive or charismatic. But he has the WORST ATTITUDE. He won't milk my insurance company again. I guarantee you that!

hard to talk with - seems to not speak and communicate in English - mostly speaks through nurse to communicate - medication given with consent and coordination

I have known Dr. De Four for a very long time. He has been the ultimate professional during in all his dealings. He has overseen the health of my family with the greatest efficiency and I recommend him without any hint of hesitation to anyone seeking the best health care.
