Gabor Matos

My husband and I have been seeing Dr Matos for several years he has always done a good job so we wanted to follow him from Springfield to Peoria. When you find a Dr you can trust and like it’s hard to try to find another one.

The Doctor is good but the nurse took for ever to call you back I tried twice two different times and and it 2-3 days before the ever call me back good thing it was serious problem.

I was in a terrible car accident that severed the main artery to my heart. He lead the team that saved my life. That was 2006 and I've been seeing him ever since. Also has time for me and very polite. I highly recommend him!

Does not value his patients time or concerns!!

This man dumped me. After all the testing he said nobody in Springfield could help me. I thought that could happen so I asked for a referral to Cleveland Clinic. He refused to do this, told me to do it myself. I was devastated. I could not walk more than ten feet before starting to pass out. Luckily I knew other physicians from his clinic, called them and they took care of me. What Matos did was not legal or moral. Stay away! On a side note, no nurse that I have met would go to him. Always listen to the nurses.

As soon as he found out I was unemployed he loss interest in helping me, I suggest anyone who needs a cardio Dr to find someone else. I felt insulted with the unrelated questions to my issue he asked

not a good doctor ,does not take the time to view records and make a proper diagnosis . Save time and a lot of money and see someone better than Dr. Matos, you are not in good hands .

On time and very friendly!

The office staff was pleasant and prompt. Dr. Matos on the other hand. Not so much. He stated he read my test results from another doctor and they where fine and in reality the results showed an issue. As soon as he found out I was a smoker he instantly blamed it on my lungs. Then when I told him I had the results of my other tests and they weren't "fine" was the only time he acted like maybe it might be a heart issue. Not impressed. If your a smoker, don't go.

Dr Matos never makes me feel like he has to rush out of the room. He answers all my questions and makes sure that I understand before moving on. Very personable and makes me feel like I'm the only person he has to see when it's my appointment time.
