Down-to-earth and friendly.!! A great diagnostician and very pleasant to talk to. Very rare in for a NYC Psychiatrist. I'm glad I was recommended to see her!

In my opinion I think antidepressants are necessary and sometimes they are not necessary and they cause a lot of side effects. I think natural intervention are sometimes more crucial , than to just try different medications . Sometimes a person needs natural pharmaceutical over-the-counter stuff that can help without the side effects, as my side effects on my medication is making me worse

i hate to be negative but this is the responsible thing to do. where do i begin? she said for the 1st 1.5 yrs of seeing her that she couldn't tell what was wrong with me because i LOOK so well put together though i said i was majorly depressed, anxious and can't sleep. i'm pretty sure depression has nothing to do with what you look like, but thats how she judged me, and could not get past it. i finally resorted to dressing like a bum so she would believe me. (i was also diagnosed with insomnia by a sleep dr). she wouldn't prescribe me possible helpful A/D meds due to weigh gain side effects which i never said i cared about, that was her issue. the one time she did prescribe me a weight gaining AD, she also prescribed me a diabetes med so I don't get fat. I'm not fat to begin with so? I said I don't have diabetes & it seems a bit unethical. she said don't worry i do it all the time! and this woman is small and petite. ugh. its perfect if your an UES socialite who needs a diet drug!… i've had several suicide attempts which didn't make a dent in the urgency of my treatment. i was begging for help and we went through so many meds. i had the feeling she never thought of me once in between visits, and had to review my file for 10 minutes before letting me in to remember. often would rush me out because my appt bordered on her lunch hour. charges way too much for the level of attention. likes to talk about trivial things instead of what your there for. i had to do all my own research and guesswork to arrive at the conclusions that would help me, she didn't. i complained of a side effect i had for a couple years and she finally gave me a new expensive drug for it, which was ok as i was desperate, but it didn't really work. 6 months later i find out there are several other drugs on the market that also treat that, she was just too lazy to think of that. she doesn't research that much, just lets the drug reps come to her and she hawks those. i have insomnia and she gave me an AD that has insomnia as a side effect. she had an awful awful stand in dr who talked to me on the phone like i was a piece of garbage and refused to refill my scrip while she was away, leaving me in withdrawals, this happened 2x! i have been off all meds for 2 months, waiting, and severely depressed, & the only reason she finally emailed me was because someone we mutually know saw her and she was reminded of me. but what if they had not met?! once i had an OD because she prescribed me a med with a contraindication with another med. & i landed in the hospital. she didn't say sorry. they said i was in a catatonic state. she was like "these things can happen." she always asks to call her in a week or 2 to after an appt to check in after you see her but when contact her, she doesn't call back, or write back. not even a sentence. like a lawyer, if you aren't paying, you aren't even getting an email. i stuck it out for over 3 years because when your that dysfunctional you don't have the motivation. i kept hoping it would work. she was pretty prompt about calling in scrips, i will give her that. i would walk out of there with no less than 6 sometimes, she's pretty loosey goosey with the scrip pad. but it was more like "patient requests meds" and she writes them, rather than "dr prescribes meds based on thought" and patient follows. her receptionist, is perpetually dour, no matter HOW NICE you are, and believe me i was very cordial. she's always annoyed the more nice i was. i know i'm not the easiest person to work with as i have layers of issues. but, thats what you go pay big bucks for, someone competent who will not quit. but i'm proof that there's no care to be had in that office.

No follow up, massively expensive for what reason I cannot fathom...find someone else...

I was referred to Dr Centurion for depression.I never felt quite right on multiple combinations of medication.We tried some more and I finally decided to try TMS therapy.I have never felt better! it was expensive but not more than all the treatment that I have received for the last 13 years.This doctor never gives up on you.Signed,A grateful patient.

Dr Centurion is the first psychopharmacologist I have encountered who has had the ability to not only diagnose a very complicated situation but also work diligently on finding the precise treatment. Highly Recommend

I was referred to Dr. Centurian by another Dr. and see her periodically for maintenance therapy. She is very easy to talk to and very understanding. I have never felt that she was judgemental or looked down on me becuase of my set of personal issues. She has always been accessable when I needed her and helpful in trying to keep the cost of certain medications manageable. This is my only experience with an addiction specialist, but it would be hard to imagine anyone better.

This doctor is knowledgeable, caring, and open to discussions with her patients. She knows how to make you feel welcome and at ease. Her cost is reasonable, in comparison to others assessed in the area. She knows how to get to the root cause of issues and finds resolution. In all I would recommend her to family and friends because she cares the patients that come into her office.

seems likeable enough, even knowledgeable but has a one-track sensibility, "looks" for things and tries to find them. Aids and abets fellow know-nothing doctors if they send her referrals. All in all, not good for much other than her prescription pad and even that is dangerous. Dammit that she seems likeable, she is not worth the cost, and COST is the word
