Dr. Gabriella Inczedy-Farkas, MD

Be careful! As a precursor, I have never left an online review, positive or negative, for any consumer service or healthcare provider. People do have bad days from time to time. Unfortunately this is not the case in this situation. I was treated by this “doctor” in 1999. In 2022 she used my personal health information to call in anti psychotic scripts for others. She picked them up at the pharmacy indicating they were for me. I had no idea until months later when I was confronted by a surgeon, that thought I was being dishonest pre surgery about medications I was taking. My surgery was delayed due to this. I have attempted to settle and to hold Farkas harmless but refuses to acknowledge the fraud. She pretends it never happened, while my health history is littered with anti psychotic medications. This was not an isolated event and happened over a dozen times. It has caused extensive damage. Every health care provider I see I have to explain that I’m not suffering from… depression, anxiety or schizophrenia. Mildly upsetting. It wasn't easy for me to provide this review but it became much easier when I saw the negative and unsubstantiated reviews she would leave for other professionals. Unfortunately I have learned that there is nothing this doctor will not be dishonest about or anyone she will not be dishonest to. Be careful who you employ or get mental health advice from and always protect your personal health information. Be aware when selecting a behavioral health provider that they may need mental health therapy more than you!

She should be held liable for criminally negligent behavior as a psychiatrist.

WARNING!!! AVOID GABRIELLA FARKAS! Dr. Farkas abandons patients, does not return your emails or messages, does not respond to your phone calls, leaves you without medications. She is unprofessional, and you should not trust her!

I met with this provider in the emergency department. After explaining to her how upset/anxious I was after having been assaulted by an acquaintance, she proceeded to contact the same acquaintance who assaulted me to inform them that I was being discharged from the emergency department and was available to be picked up. I had already informed her that the individual listed as my emergency contact was the person that had assaulted me. Dr. Farkas knowingly handed me over to the individual that had assaulted me, placing me directly back into harm’s way. Notably, there was NO HIPAA RELEASE for the individual whom she contacted – only an emergency contact. A formal complaint has been filed with the State due to Dr. Farkas’ mistreatment and due to her violating HIPAA.

I didnt have any problems with this dr. I was able to schedule an appt for same week. It is easy to get in touch with their office- as of now i can text with questions. Online visits are great too. They have this down to a T. Vs other online psychiatrists who aren’t as great. This one has seamless visits and doesnt prescribe unnecessary meds. Listens to patient too.

I booked an appt through zocdoc and when Marlene at her office called me to confirm, she told me they had to check if the take my insurance (Cigna All Access Plus) and pushed their "affordable" $99/month plan with their nurse practitioner one me. I said no thanks and instead called Cigna to check if I was covered. Cigna said yes and my co-pay was $25. The next day, Dr. Farkas's office called me and said yes I'm covered, but it's $50 and I have to pay it upfront and if I didn't, I would lose my appt. Once again, she mentioned the $99/mo nurse practitioner plan (which I denied AGAIN). I told her I would check in with Cigna what my copay was and she said she'd call me the next day. Today (the next day), Marlene calls to tell me that Dr. Farkas needs to reschedule all her appointments and that I would have to make an appt with the $99/mo nurse practitioner if I wanted to see someone right away. I asked when Dr. Farkas has availability next, and Marlene instead tells me the availability for… the nurse practitioner. I said I want to see Dr. Farkas and Marlene said she now has no availability. How many times in the past month has Dr. Farkas canceled patients who scheduled through zocdoc and then tried to upset those patients on this $99/mo nurse practitioner plan? Has anyone else had this issue with Dr. Farkas??
