Dr. Gail Ann Tasch, MD

She's wonderful. I think she can come across as a little flippant some times - or impatient - but then that's not unusual for psychiatrists of any persuasion in my experience. She knows her stuff and is clearly more interested in her patient's actual well-being. She could do with being a little more cognizant of what others (certain family members and particular staff, I've noticed) think and feel comfortable with, but it's also refreshing to see someone who doesn't spout b.s. all day. If you're actually interested in your mental health (or your life beyond the immediate when facing a mental health crisis), then this is the kind of doctor you're looking for.

I felt the need to comment here after reading some of the negative comments from people who have NOT received services from her. Gail puts people first. Not convenience or kickbacks from pharma companies or generally following the trend of pill popping. And she gets real results because of that. She has a grounded view of when and how to use dangerous drugs and however unfortunate that is these days it seems, it's a Godsend. People complaining that she is "undermining the authority" over another person need to take a look in the mirror.

My blood is boiling. I have PLENTY of experience in this field. This woman does whatever she wants with no actual thought process behind it. She believes everyone is over medicated and that vitamin E cures EVERYTHING. Someone needs to explain to this woman that vitamin E is great for some things but it does not cure schizophrenia or bipolar disorder!!!!!!

She wants to take people off all of their meds even when she admits she doesn't know them. She does not spend time with her patients and comes in to see them in patient whenever she wants...at her leisure. She needs her license revoked! She doesn't care for her patients at all!

Is it normal for doctors to text with their patients from their personal/work phone!? It was more than once and I didn't always initiate. Comforting at first but then creeped me out, didn't go back.

I am ALL for reducing medications that are not absolutely needed, however this woman took 2 VERY mentally ill people off their medications, told them to watch their diet and then ditched them when they ended up going into in-patient treatment for a complete psychotic break. One of them still has not recovered. I wouldn't send Hitler's dog to see her. I normally do not write poor reviews however, I am genuinely concerned for the patients she sees. Now, due to absolute desperation, Eau Claire County has her doing assessments on people for court!! How terrifying!!!

Very thorough and courteous, very helpful

She has a very different approach, more holistic. I would recommend her. I did feel a little rushed at the end.

I saw her for long standing depression. I had tried many medications. I would recommend her for her holistic approach. I also needed to go off some medications and she helped me with that.

She saw my developmentally disabled son and it went well.
