Dr. Gale Louise Walker Lewis, MD

Spends the whole session typing away at a computer screen. Then breaks for a second to tell me to lose weight, repeats that 5 more times. Then tell her private information regarding health problems and she gives you an ugly face and turns away.

Dr. Lewis is wonderful! I started seeing her in Bellevue as she is located within the Expedia building where I work. After going through my medical history, she immediately provided some thoughtful comments on how my history might be causing my current concern. I now see her regularly. She provides personalized care and remembers details of my lifestyle that might be impacting my treatment when she makes recommendations, which I appreciate. Reading the other reviews, I can't imagine how these would apply to Dr. Lewis as my perspective is the complete opposite.

I had an appointment scheduled with her to do a pap and when I got there, I found out she also wanted to do blood work. Of course I didn't fast, so it couldn't be done - nobody told me ahead of time! During the appointment she told me that I'm overweight (because I fall on a certain point in the BMI scale, which I consider faulty) and that I should be tested for diabetes. She went on to tell me that I should go on a Mediterranean diet and avoid red meat - all without asking me what my diet looks like and what sorts of food I eat. She was not gentle with the procedure and like a lot of the reviewers say, her bedside manner is atrocious. Will not be going back.

I went to see Dr. Lewis and had the most disturbing experience. She was unprofessional, condescending, rude, and just plain incompetent. I started to wondee how she even made it through med school as she didn't seem to know what she was doing. She gave me an impression of someone who doesn't really have respect for the profession or the patients, but rather someone at the end of an unsatisfied career and was just there to make some money. She rushed through the appointmenr talking about irrelevant stuff and at the end when she hadn't really addressed my concern she proceeded To take me to schedule another appointment. I wasn't surprised at all to see that others have had horrible experience with her as well. She should not be allowed to practice.

Bad experience. Poor attitude, in a hurry, & incompetent.

Rude, dismissive, refuses to send me to a specialist, caught her in several outright lies, keeps changing my medication without consulting me. This woman is a joke.

My experience of Dr. Lewis was surprising and disturbing to me. In both of my visits with Dr. Lewis (one two years ago and one yesterday), she spent more than her allotted 12 minutes with me. Much of that time was not spent well. She asked vague questions that she was not able to effectively clarify. She laughed when I gave her a description of my pain and then told me that I needed to calm down and take a deep breath when I then appeared to be angry with her. She asked questions late in the visit that made it apparent that she was either not listening, not absorbing, or not understanding the information I had given her about my symptoms early in the visit. It was difficult to listen to her advice (which may or may not have been good) because it was difficult to trust her. ALL of the other practitioners that I have seen at the Greenwood Medical Clinic have been excellent: kind, knowledgeable, empathetic, and professional. I don't know what's going on with Dr. Lewis, but she may… not be a good fit for this clinic, which serves primarily a low-income population.

During my visit Dr Lewis said she would be back in a minute because she went to see another patient. She returned about 20 minutes later.Went to see her initially to get my prescriptions renewed. Instead she took some away. She was told these meds were prescribed by a cardiologist years ago and needed for life. She ignored this information and did not consult with the cardiologist. The next day 911 was called and I was taken to emergency. 911 was called another two times. I was put back on the meds and now I'm doing fine. I now have a new doctor.

She is the worst doctor I have ever had. Her bedside manner is atrocious. She did not want to hear any of my concerns. She is rude and condescending. Avoid this doctor like the plague.
